As the author asserts, government should focus immediate problems of today rather than anticipated problems of the future, which I could not agree on. In my opinion, I concede that it is essential for the government to realize the importance of problems of today, at the same time, the problems of tomorrow should be emphasized too.

Firstly, the responsibility of a government is to solve problems of society, spreading every effort to. On one hand, some problems of today are so urge that must be solved immediately or it may have some bad effects. The problems of worker strike, which unless settled instantly would lead to decrease in production and then decrease in profits. In Sequence, the government's prestige will be damaged, and lose the respect and support of people. On the other hand, some problems will affect forever unless be solved now. One of the problems of education, which the age-proper children's parents do not sent them to school, is one example. The children could go to school for study the science and technology, and may be an illiterate in future. This will not only damage the future of the children, but also the future of the country, as children is the future of society, which must be educated of our culture's continuity.  All these two problems discussing above is the problems of today, no matter it is urge or will affect tomorrow, this must be attach weigh from the government.

However, the government should focus on solving the anticipated problems of the future at the same of today.  As we concern, some problems of future could be anticipated and if we make plan now and even prepare to solve it, we may save some efforts when we solve it in the future or the issue will be not as serious as it predicted unless we do nothing. Consider the plan of exploring the space, which for now, we have not ever found any place other than the earth for humans to live on. Some people argue this is a waste of time, energy and money, however, to see from a long sight, it not. As population increase more and more rapidly, energy and resource of the earth will be extinct one day, if we do not plan something and do it today, we have to face to extinction of human till that day. So, seeing from a long turn, focus on solving the anticipated problems of the future is necessary and responsibility for government.

Admittedly, I concede that sometimes the government should focus on the problems of today more than the problems of tomorrow. Just like the present Iraq government, whose responsibility now is to stop the war and renew the economy, not to develop something plan for the future. But, for a government of a peace country, it must balance the two aspects.

So, as a conclusion, the two aspects, the problems of today and the anticipate problems of the future, are both essential to the society’s development. For this, the government should search a balance between them, neither to be emphasized too much.

总的来说，例子可以举得再贴切一些，比如第二个就可以说成是环境污染而变成紧急问题等等。个人感觉结构上没有前后照应得很好，有待改进。
