题目: capital punishment 应不应该取消

I believe that capital punishment should be removed and that, whilst people may feel secure with this death penalty, it is not nevertheless the best method to solve crimes of violence.

Admittedly, death penalty has proved itself a relative utility way to decrease serious crimes throughout history. First, in traditional idea, people should pay his life for the terrible things what he has done to someone else. It seems that only death can put out people’s fire of angry. Second, if there is no capital punishment, government has to spend much money on building prisons, let alone the expense for policemen and prisoners. Therefore capital punishment has been used for quite a long time.

However, life is equal to everyone; that is to say, no one has the right to take other’s life away. We consider that murder is a serious crime, but what is about death penalty, to some extent, it is the same as murder. Though criminals they have done some kinds of unforgivable mistakes, they are lives at least, it means they also have the basic right to live in this world.

Besides, there is a growing tendency that humanism appears to attract people’s attention. Viewed from this field of aspect, capital punishment is kind of cruel. It is possible that crime is an accidental impulsion, but one has to pay his whole life for that. Maybe it is better to give him anther chance to make up his mistakes, using his effort and intelligent.

All in all, no matter viewed from ethnic or humanism, capital punishment is not a proper way. If capital punishment does not serve as it supposed to be, it is a need for us to remove it and to find a more effective approach.

自己也写了改了几篇作文了,但自己看自己的总不是那么客观,而且很多错误也找不到,没法提高,所以谢谢大家了!
