It has recently been announced that a new movie theater may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

There is one old English saying, “one man’s meat is another’s poison”. People hold different answers toward the same question, not to mention such a controversial issue. From personal perspective, a new movie theater built in my neighborhood can be beneficial to the people lived around this area.

To begin with, the movie theater will enhance the entertainment of our neighborhood greatly. With dramatic development of technology, people can enjoy themselves in some excellent movies. Owing to the lack of theater in our neighborhood, people who want to see the latest movies have to go to other city by train, or stay at home see them from the internet. As you know, the effect in movie theater is very different from that in home and I can have a good time in the theater with my family during weekend. In addition, the movie theater offers some conveniences for us. Because it is built in our neighborhood, I can buy the ticket easy. In the past, in order to get one ticket of popular movie, I have to wait in line for several hours. Therefore I think that the building of new movie theater is useful to the people around this place.

Moreover, the movie theater can provide us some job’s chances. With the establishment of theater, it need someone to sale tickets as well as to maintain the theater, which offer some jobs for us, especial for the people who lost their jobs. Furthermore, other buildings will also be established to provide service, like hotels, restaurants, exercise centers as well as coffee club. What’s more important, these buildings can add the income of government with tax from them and the money can be spent on education and public project, such improving the public transportation system. Thus, the theater built in my neighborhood can benefit not only to people around here, but also to the government.

Nevertheless, we can ignore some problems the new theater caused to the neighborhood, such as noise, traffic jams as well as over crowding. During the construction of the building, noise resulted from it can disturb normal work and study of people. Besides, traffic jam is the negative influence. People go to the new movie theater for the latest movies, with large amount of people coming here, our small park is not adequate, which can lead to traffic jam.

In sum, weight the advantage and disadvantage of building the new movie theater in my neighborhood, I think it is beneficial to the people in the area. Although it can bring some problems, the positive influence is great larger than that. Keep in mind, you do not throw your baby with the bath water.
