超时！在规定时间到的时候还差para4没写，我差点就想把开头和结尾完全改掉，变成一边倒支持个性的观点了。后来一想，我在para2和3的时候就留了para4的伏笔，而且光写一边倒的观点估计没戏，只能限时完成后补写para4，加了140个字。

The speaker asserts that in order to succeed in personal economy, one cannot overlook conformity while emphasizing individuality. However, in my opinion, in the pursuit of personal economic success, we should strive for the balance individuality and conformity.

Individuality, as I see it, stresses human independence and the importance of self-reliance and liberty. In this sense, in the smaller scale, individuality plays a vital role in personal economic success. On one hand, the emphasis of self-reliance drives people to make their own minds without the intervention from others or the majority. This is important because only when you count on the decision and judgment of your own, you have a chance in winning an economic battle. Take risky investment for example. Usually, those risky capital invested to areas that no other people have ever come up in mind or imagine reaps the highest returns. The conformists, who invest in the "right" areas, might gain certain profits in a short-term. After all, these areas are still profitable for the time being or the majority would not be so interested in them. Nevertheless, as time goes by, the profit gained in these areas would decline, because the pie, which I compare an investing area as, has a changeless size, the more people come to attempt to grab one slice, the smaller each slice is ultimately. On the contrary, those who discover the new pie could feast on it completely. The example mentioned above demonstrates the importance in finding an unusual way in the process of climbing the mountain of economic success. That ensures you a different scenery as well as unexpected fruition. And the determination of finding an unusual way is inspired by individuality indeed.

On the other hand, the emphasis of individually encourage people to think different and act different. To be different is of great significance in this consumer-driven society that gives birth to the new term "pupil economy". Being unique and innovative, the product could catch people's eyesight, and thus the popularity of this product is gained and naturally, the profits follow. The example of Facebook aptly illustrates this point. No one would ever imagine a website aiming at making friends circles among college students would become the number one socialization platform three years after its establishment. The attraction of Facebook lies in its nouveau maneuver of bringing the traditional ways of socializing to a website. Every user has to provide their administrative college or university email addresses to become its member and consequently, once they are part of Facebook all of their profiles would be true and public which renders making friends much easier since nobody wears a mask of fake information. The great success of Facebook is attributable to its creative ideas. And the source of the creativity required is the individuality. Embracing the unique and differences in today' world would not be so tolerated without the prevalence of individuality. Conformists, however, will never gain this economic success because they do not dare to step out of normality and without a doubt, playing safe and ordinarily will not be lucrative.

Nevertheless, in the scope of world-wide economy, conformity is dominant compared with individuality. In the era of globalization, although the final result is not to render this world homogeneous, the communication and cooperation between nations and regions demands conformity. As a result, the institution of standards is in need because standards offer different groups or individuals unified principles of developing a product. Instituting standards is also conducive in economic success. Once a standard gets into effect, its owner will enjoy the large amount of money it brings because anyone or any group producing this product is obliged to pay for this standard. What is more, as long as this product is being manufactured, the money will continuously flow into the owner's pocket. The institution of standards which is seemly opposite to individuality and embodies the conformity proves that conformity in international range can be profitable.

In a nutshell, when we stress individuality in personal economic success, we cannot ignore the role conformity plays in a larger scale. Actually, they do not contradict to each other in different ranges. Thus, all we have to do is to make a balance between them.
