With the development of society, individuals are requesting more and more characteristics. So called "On-demand Service" (挺渊博)is a common concept in commercial world and is effective in satisfying the customers and creating a great profit. However, will "On-demand Education" also be effective? I agree with this point with my reservation. In my opinion, while characterized at a proper degree will help to increase the effect of education, completely designed to meet the individual needs and interests will yet ruin the meaning of education and thus proved to be ineffective.
Before I further talk about the whether it should satisfy the personal needs and interests, I must give an explicit definition to the effective education first. Education is generally defined as a process in which a person's morality and knowledge is being improved. As a result, if any kind of education eventually achieves such a goal, this kind of education should be considered as effective.(下定义,不错) Moreover, the education with a most broad concept can be divided into some distinctive kinds according to who conducted it. There is no doubt that self-education is just based on a person's own needs and interests, but when we talk about the school education, it worth a more comprehensive discussion.
As I mentioned above, an effective school education also should improve a person knowledge as well as moral standard, however, these two aspects should not be equally individuated.
For any human being to manage to survive in the society, he needs a certain amount of knowledge, which every people must know, no matter whether he is interested in it or not. For example, every kid should be taught to read and write, along with the ability to solve basic math problems. To this point, it is not necessary for education and education should not try to meet the personal interest. However, except for such kind of knowledge, which takes part only a small fraction of total amount of knowledge a man shall get from education, the students should have rights to decide which subject of science or art s/he would further study or what kind of skill he would learn to get ready for his future job after s/he decide what to do in the future. If education is trying to infuse a student with something that s/he is reluctantly(应换成reluctant) to learn and useless for him or her, the student's knowledge will hardly get improved. Since the education resource is limited in society, it should be made best use of on the people who needs it and is interested in it. Only under such circumstance, may the education be called effective, for it will expedite(the absorbing of) the knowledge of the students efficiently.
However, to the aspect of morality, it is not that case at all. The education should make every the students learn to be an honest, righteous, virtuous and well-mannered person. Individuation is ridiculous in this aspect. Should a young man be taught to deceive and theft(thieve) just because he want to be a cheater of(or) thief? Of course not. It is the duty for education to make every student to meet the morality standard of the society and help them to be a good man. Thus, individuation should not exist in the morality aspect of education, in respect that it will not only do no good to increase the effect of education, but also even destroy it.
In sum, the education on knowledge should satisfy the personal need and interest of students while the education on morality must have a uniform standard. Only in this case, can the students get improved both in knowledge and morality, and consequently can the education be call as effective.
整体感觉还行,我想下定义是不是可以分成两截,分别加在各自的分论点中? |
