Whether the people's preference dress, beheivers can reflect their attitudes and interest? My answer is yes, I fundamentally agree that a society's ideas and values can be learned by observing the apperance and behaivor of its people

Turn first to people's preference dress and behaviors. People like to show their attidutdes and interests by dressing their appitite and yielding clothes. A fan of Hip-rap would like to dress a fat jean while a classic girl in China would prefer a qeongsam in summer.  Living in the society, people are try to adopted to the way of dress and act which are accepted by the majoraty and don't want to be regarded as a abnormal phenomenen, which help form a sociecy way of dress and act and this trend is most influenced by the society's idea and values. The appearance and behavior of different is far different , which provide us a way to learn this sociecty by observing the appearance and behavior of its people.

The change of society's ideas and values can be effectively reflected by the alters of people's dress. A  paragradomic example imediately coms to mind is the change in Chinese people's dress, Which was abseverd by president Brush. During his first visit to China after elected as president of US, when asked what is his impression of current China compared with the state of twenties years in a confress, the president answered the significant change in people's dress impressed him most,  he recited that Chinese used to wear the uniform made with the closth in the black and blue color twenties years ago while they are dressing variously today. This change implys dramatic change in the other aspects of China after implement of reform and open-up policy which was pineered by Mr. Deng Xiaoping in 1979. Fundamently changes were brought after that, the improvement in economy, polictics as well as the nation's idea and values. Which are delicately implied by change in people's dressing.

Few will argue that globalization, which derived from the great develpment in science, technology and economy, help diminish the difference of values and ideas of different nations and regions. To wittness this change, you need look no further the people around you. The Chinese peope are customed to wear jeans, are like to eat at KFC while people of Western have also show their great interest in Chinese culture and language. It is not too hard to see the people from West wear the traditional Chinese suit during their visting in China. The increasing communication enhance the understanding of different nations and provide a way for them to learn each other, which help them reduce the confict in values and other aspects, therefore increase the safty of the world  and bring peace and hapiness to the people around the world. All this can be oberved by the similar dress in every country.

To sum up, apperance and behavior can effectively relect the society's idea and values, and help people to learn much of a society. And to further comprehensively understand a society's ideas and values, we need learn their culture, history, literature and the like besides appearance and behavior which mostly served as an ostensible symbal.

Whether the people's look, dress, behavior can reflect their attitudes and interest? My answer is yes, and I fundamentally agree the author’s further assertion that a society's ideas and values can be learned by observing the appearance and behavior of its people.

Turn first to people's preference dress and behaviors. On an individual level, people, in most circumstance, are inclined to choose their clothes according to their yearning life style and appetite. To witness this, you need look no further than the people around you. Those who will the basketball shirt of Houston Rocket are the fans of Yao Ming and his team, while the crazy supporters of Chelsea are like to wear the shirt of this great England football club. Girls who favor classical literature in China would choose cheongsam in summer, and miniskirts are always the first choice those who like to follow the fashion. On a social level, living in the society, people are have to adopt themselves to social life, confirm their dress and behaviors to accord with the way which are generally accepted by the majority of people, and don't want to be regarded as a abnormal phenomenon, thus help form a society way of dress and act, which perhaps are varied as for every social members but mirror general aesthetic values and inclinations which influenced by the society’s idea and values. Traditionally, most of Eastern would like to dress themselves formally in order to show their sobriety and moderation while the majority of Westerns like freely express their personality by jeans or informal clothes. The appearances and behaviors of different society vary dramatically, which provide us a way to learn this society by observing the appearance and behavior of its people.

In sum, appearance and behavior, which is closely related to common people’s life, can effectively reflect the society's idea and values, and help people to learn much of this society by observe this. Observing the look, dress, act of different periods in history can present us a way to study the development of their idea and value and therefore better understand the big event in history, consequently comprehensively understand their idea and value. In addition, learning the culture, history, literature and the like besides appearance and behavior, which comparatively served as an ostensible symbol, can help us achieve a better and more accurate effect.
