3. 第一个原因,计算机等新技术使的给我们带来了帮助,但也减少了我们思考,因为机器替我们思考了。

5. 第三个原因,人们更pragmatic重视职业技能,忽视了思考。

I fundamentally agree with the assertion that we fail to attach sufficient attention to the intellect which help to practice the skill of reasoning , understaning, creating, analyzing, and the like. Three major factors in the current wold, in my opion, contribute to current situation, thay are the side-effect of new technology, the drawback of traditional education and too much emphicis on professional training.
The chief reason I assent with the assertion lies in the impect of new technology, especially the wildspread using of computer and Internect, which influence nearly every aspects of our life. To witness this, you need look no further than the way of your work and your life. As for the eduction the computer enhance the efficiency of teaching and learning by present the faster, more convinient way at the expence of diminish their chance to think, reason by themselves. For the students, computer can serve as a personal teacher to help them, CAI(Computer-aided Instruction) can feed back to the student what they have inputed, and help the student learn more effectively. which made it less necessary for the students to do somework as their parents used do, and they therefore, became more dependent on the new machine than their own brain. As for the teacher, they share the commen situation with their student. A authoring system, which provides a pattern, and makes all the work of teacher have to do is just add their material into the pattern, can significanly ease the pressure of preparing teaching material. The teacher tend to be directed by the pattern predesighed by the software engneer rather than their own ideas or judgements. And also in the other field, computer and other machine help to liberate us from the tradional work, deprived our passion and initiality to think by ourselves, thus serve as an impediment in intellectal training rather than an aide to some extent.
The second reason I believe we don't pay enough attention to intellect has to do with the herent limitation of education system. Though great improvement have been made, the education system fail to pratice the ability of reasioning, cognation, and analyze. The teacher still be customed to impart their ideas into students' brain while ignore the purpos of geniue of education, which has been pointed out by Sucrates in two thousand years ago. He told us the aim of education should be elisite the skill they have from their mind instead of insert stiffings of information. And the exame oriented policy in most of the Asian countries made the situation even worse, the students nearly give up their thinking, totally believe and take what the teacher taught them and write it down on the test papers.
And last but not the less important reason is excessive professional training ,recommended as a way of educate the people can benefit the development of society, greatly influenced the students's choice of learning. Most students became so pramatic that they prefer to be an operator of machine to ensure a stable job than to be a designer or inventer by their hard work in reasioning and analyzing.
To sum up, intellect which generally regarde as a way of human life, a feature of human beings has been ignored in the current world. And it will defenitely danger for the future of work to let it free unfetterd. Some mesures should be taken to diverse the trend. Such as teach the students and teachers to use computer in a proper ways, to reform the traditional educational system and develop the professional training in a dispassion way. |
