正文： Nowadays, numerous individuals argue that library will be supplanted by information technology, and it does not make sense to maintain public library. Nevertheless, I disagree with this point of view, I contend that library exert far-reaching influence on our society. Concerning the issue whether the public libraries should be replaced by computer technology, people hold different views. Some people claim that it is an inevitable trend to use computer technology instead of public libraries, while some argue that public libraries can not be substituted by computer technology. From my point of view, computer technoloy functions greatly in every aspect of our life, but it still cannot replace the position of public libraries.
First of all, one point which I believe to be absolutely pivotal is the fact that libraries play a significant role in our daily life, it can enrich citizens’daily life when people reading books which having a physical link to history. Many types of information and knowledge also can be stored in the library for us to search. For instance, the main concern of our cities’public library is to provide knowledge for the sake of citizens’leisure time.(这一段写的太烂了，实在不知该怎样表达了，哪位大虾有空帮我大改一下吧？:loveliness: )
First of all, Public library is one of the best places for people relaxing on weekends. People can spend their spare time and expand their horizon in the library, meanwhile people can find friends having the same interests as themselves in the libraries. More and more people have the habit of reading, people think reading helps to catch up with the rapid rhythm and be more competitive. And majority people prefer to stay in a library when they are available or borrow books from there.
Secondly, some libraries such as specific and academic libraries provide comprehensive access to kinds of academic information and knowledge which poses a numerous significant impact upon our social progress, and university students or researchers can find which they need for their academic task in these libraries. Secondly, public libraries has advantage in classification than computer technology. There are aboundant of informations can be found by computer technology, but the informations are not sorted and messy. Libraries classify information into different themes, and each theme provids specialized books to the public. For example, historic books and biograhy books can be easily found in History theme. Readers just go straight to the history theme part of Library. They don't need spend a lot of time on the computer to search for information. Some specified information have copyright, which can not be read or download by the browsers. Libraries have no such restriction for readers to borrow books. A reader can borrow books from the library by showing the library card. Furthermore, in an increasing electronic and technological based society, the shift from traditional libraries to the digital is a buzzword, and with the increasing trend of electronic books this may become a reality. The objective of e-library are to promote international and inter-cultural understanding and awareness, offer resources to educators, expand content on the internet and to contribute to scholarly research. Furthermore, with the development of technology, evolution happens on the public libraries as well. E-library is generally popular and the resources of electronic books are increasing. People can borrow books via the Internet from their nearest library. And they also can renew those books online, no need to bring them to the library as before. Technology brings great conveniences to the readers.
By way of conclusion, with all these advancement the library is making very positive strides to keep up with our changing society, and these advances are to make the library more accessible. To sum up, taking into account of advantages mentioned above, I think the public libraries should not be replaced by computer technology. However, the public libraries can be developed further and more convenient with the help of computer technology. 我也不太会写作文。刚开始。LZ的思路不错。其实不算改，我按照LZ的思路，自己写了一下。 LZ参考。。估计也有不少错误。请其他牛人继续改。。
