Postdoctoral position in organic and polymer synthesis

Postdoctoral position in organic and polymer synthesis is immediately
available in the Liu Research group of the Department of Chemistry,
Michigan Technological University.  Our group synthesizes redox-
active
carbohydrate conjugates and water-soluble fluorescent conjugated
glycopolymers bearing a variety of carbohydrates for biosensing
applications. Educational qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in
Polymer Chemistry or Organic Chemistry. The applicant should have
experience in organic or polymer synthesis.  Experience with polymer
modification and organic synthesis scale-up will be preferred.
Candidates
with strong synthetic skills will be selected on the basis of merit
of
previous research work, and intellectual maturity as evidenced
through
publications. Strong communication skills including fluency in
written
English are required.  Initial appointments will be for one year,
with
possible renewal upon mutual consent.  Interested persons should
