I agree with the speaker’s broad assertion that competition for high grades seriously, to some extent, limits the quality of leaning. However, the speaker unnecessarily extends this broad assertion to embrace the quality of learning at all levels of education, (to extend the broad assertion) to embrace the limitation of all levels of education. The speaker overlooks the benefits that accrue while we take good use of the competition.
The complicit rational behind the speaker’s statement(这里没看懂) seems to be that we should eliminate the competition for high grades, in order to develop the quality of education. That the blind competition for high grades does harm to education quality is indisputable. While people concentrate on the high markets, they may ignore the fundamental objectives and function of education. Accordingly, when it comes to the blind asking for the high points seriously, it’s entirely appropriate to decrease the competition. Yet, to eliminate the competition for high points for sound development of education will be to eliminate the most strong and effective drive of the developing.
It may be competing to agree with the speaker on the basis that the developing of all levels education is not compatible with the high grades competition. The argument has merits, in the following thee respects. First, the cruel competition is not on the benefit side of the developing of the learner’s(learners') mental health. When learners who may be forced to hold the narrow view of the learning- competition for high markets, and who fail in squeezing for the top one or two of the examinations, are likely to becoming mental illness patients. Second, with the overwhelming strong desire for grades, people are possible to do things that are pushing the inequality and unfairness in education which does not only limit the development, but also kill the education quality. Third, the high grades of learner do not absolutely mean the ability of students. Numbers of examples have shown that since paying too much attention to grades, some high markets learners fail to develop the other abilities besides exam skills.
On the other hands are two compelling arguments that competition including scientific competition for high levels is desirable in education. One such argument is that certain competition is the sound drive of developing. Dwaine’s theory in competition tells us that competition improves the quality. Just in (the) competition, the learner can find out the defects and shortcoming in their learning, which could help them to step into the high levels of learning. And also the competition can lease out the ability of learners. Different from the common situation, the competition can make learner be in a alter condition in which they can push themselves to do things with all of their efforts.
A second argument against the speaker’s position has to do with the fundamental objectives and function of education. Education serves to improve the living quality of human beings. And it teaches and helps people to self-teach the ability to live and work in the society. The society is one place full of competition for the jobs, for the opportunity and etc. No matter how the society develops, the exsiting of competition (of it) will never change. And the education that serves to people in society cannot lack the competition which is help(helps) the development. In other words, we should not to eliminate the competition for high grades, but to direct the competition into the scientific position- the good and honest competition, or the competition which is commutative beneficial to the competitors.(我觉得应该接着上一段,而不是另起一段)
In the final analysis, the competition for high grades does not only limit the quality of education of all levels, as the speaker convinced us. If the blind competitions are directed into scientific and commutative competition(commutative competition是什么意思啊?) including competition(that) for high levels will be desirable in education, pushing the development.
写得比我好太多了,我也指不出什么问题,句式词汇都很丰富.
