4. "No field of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study."
The speaker asserts that if a field is undergoing a dramatic promotion, the knowledge and experience brought to that field of study by outsiders is indispensable. In my opinion, I generally agree with the speaker on the basic notion that the breakthrough in a scientific field need not only the professional knowledge, but other experience as well.
There is no denying that we human beings have created a great sums(sum) of innovations and technologies that now render our life(lives) more convenient and comfortable. Information technology enable us to communicate with each other more easily, multimedia technology makes our life more colorful and interesting, modern transportation system allows us to travel around the world in just several hours and medical science make it possible for us to live longer and lead a more healthy life. I think every one could feel the great contributions that science study brings us, but how many of us have considered the question that what makes the research advance?(这段的语言很棒,很值得学习)
To begin with, I would like to take the biological science for example. As we all know, the biological science is one of the most important sciences in 21th century. So many countries around the world set aside a huge amount of fund to this field in order to possess such a cut-edge science and technology. And most experts in biological field do their utmost to discover essential theories and principles. Do you know? The Nobel Prize winners of physiological and medical science over the recent decades were not engaged in this field, most of whom came from physical, chemical, computer science etc. They claimed that what they had learned and researched before made great contributions to their present achievements.
In addition, this assertion is also equally correct in the field of business. If a student who graduated from a commercial college wants to have a management job in a company, he is surely be refused by the employers due to he is devoid of relevant experience. Those freshmen can't bring any benefit to company except passion of work. The vice-president of Google— Kaifu Li is a proof that could give the perfectible illustration. When he graduated from Columbia University, he became a teacher of computer programme who was assigned to teach several extraordinary intelligent students. Afterwards, he worked in Apple Company, Microsoft. Depending on such abundant experience, he becomes the vice-president of Google now. Let's imagine that if Li was desirable to find a leader job as other peers and didn't experience so much obstacle and failure(the above text did not mention Li’s failure), how is he able to fulfill present success?
To sum up, I'm firmly convinced that great advancement in a field also need the support from other fields. On no acount(account) can a person who merely devotes himself to just one field achieve great success or discovery. Consequently, the development of us mankind is based on the communication of experts from different fields. Only intertwining the various fields into an organic integration can lead us into a brand new scientific era.
