Forexample, an artist might think the term ‘great country in the history’ shouldbe the country with either splendid art works or talented artist. On the otherhand, in the opinion of an economist, the country should have abundant materialand be prosperous in their economical activity. That’s the difference rely ontheir different viewpoints. When we refer to the science, we also find suchsituations. The physics in eighteenth century would never make such hugeachievements unless the calculus is developed by the mathematicians. Using thecomputer technology, genetic engineering achieves so many successes in crackingprocess of human genetics code.
Admittedly, theknowledge and experience from outsiders can improve significant progress in thestudy area, but it doesn’t mean that the field will not progress lacking theoutsider’s knowledge. Whether a fieldof study can make enormous progress depends on many aspects: the faulty, thestudy topics, the support fund, and the atmosphere among their researchers. Thequality of stuff is the most important factor. In the opinion of most people,research is a boring thing. A researcher with a big curiosity can devote him tothe field of study and insist on their studying. The difficulty of study topicsis another thing that matters the progress. When the problem selected is mucheasier, the likelihood of solving it is bigger. Funding can make researchersdevote their minds to the problem and provide adequate facilities needed in theresearch. For example, in Africa, manycountries don’t have revenues to support science, so their research is not thetop. Russia had been themost leading country in the science research field, but with the declinedeconomy and the spilt of the Soviet Union, thecountry doesn’t have enough money for many their scientists to pursue theirwork. Many scientist fled to other countries to continue their research.
In the end, the progress in science andtechnology need many factors interacting with others. It is a so complexprocess that no single factor can lead to the progress.
