第一个问题，我个人认为是不行的，因为我觉得前句的重点是aware of own individuality，而不是intelligence的对比。但是在这篇文章21行提到comparisons may not be especially helpful，是第二段作者的观点，我们必须遵循他。所以按第二段作者的观点，他会用observing that intelligence does not mean the same thing forevery species 来反驳。

第二个问题，after six months of his repeating it说明他在这个insignificant的地方一事无成，6个月过去了还是不停地repeat，说明Jerry's lying is unlikely to have major consequence in Africa。这并不是一个commonplace behavior，没有提到非洲人都像他这样。其他选项更不合理，所以选A
