What does the cover stories most tell? Scandals! What does the news most report? Scandals! What is the hottest topic in the internet? Scandals! No doubt will anybody have that scandals catch such a huge attention and focus on a certain problem just as the author of this article says. But I don't think scandals will be useful in a long run. Instead, some potential harm would be created.

Admittedly, problems need attention. The more attention, the faster it would be solved. Low quality food is produced everyday by some illegal manufacturers who set their factories in remote places where they can escape from checking and testing. Thanks to some media workers meticulously detecting and pursuing clues, we can see the truth on television programs and newspapers. As the societal focus has set on this issue, the government will soon take measures to these illegal factories and some related department will tell the customers how to tell the differences between high-quality from bad thing. From this illustration we can see the power of attention could not be trivialized at any time.

Simply put, without people's concerning, these unknown problems would exist and develop silently, exploding in a more serious way. Environmental issues had been neglected in the early and middle 20th century, leading the undesirable weather change and climate deterioration恶化. Human will suffer from the pain of it in a long run.

There are so many ways to set the societal focus in which scandals is a really dangerous one. Undoubtedly, they will attract so many concerns and fame some persons in a short time, while in deed, people may not pay attention to the things which the scandal-maker want them to concern but the scandals itself. If a singer creates some scandals about affairs, people will not talk about his or her music and songs as much as before, consequently, changing the focus on who is his or her friend now, and guessing when they would depart. Also, in the realm of politics and academia, scandals assemble focus but point them to a wrong direction because affair and some other news are the ingredients for people's daily life which they really happy to discuss as an entertainment.

The worst thing is not the wrong direction the scandals make but the bad the bad impressions it left to the society that so much time and money is needed to clear them. The scandal-makers would be a joker in the view’s of majority. It will be really difficult for them to rebuild their image and win the respect of public again. So pathetic they would be.

Scandal is fire, brightening the person who play with it, and then burn him just leaving a black face who cannot get rid of. So it will be sensible to get away from any scandals. If one need catch the focus and attention of the society, choosing other appropriate alternatives is sensible.
