Whether the society exerts adequate emphasis on the intellect-in terms of reasoning, other cognitive skills? Though individuals may, to some degree, keep touching with some these skills, however, in my observation, hardly do they profoundly be influenced by the intellect. That is to say the society dose not focus on the issue as it is expected to.

Indeed, individuals have been reaching those areas of intellect in some respects. Consider, for example, the pupils, just entering the primary school, have learned some courses concerning with intellect, such as mathematics, cognition to the world. In the process of solving a difficult mathematic problem, students may be cultivated their deducing and thinking ability; by acquiring knowledge and information from the cognition to the world, pupils may try to understand the world in their own way and build a fundamental insight toward life and world, and thus, to some extent, are equipped with the cognitive skill. Accordingly, individuals have touched some intellectual skills and try to master it.

However, people have not obtained enough opportunity to be acquainted with fields of intellect due to the carelessness of the society. For supporting examples, one needs look no further than the process of a child's cultivation. Born to the earth, each child is expected to become one who is comprehensive-bright, versatile, erudite. Hence, parents tend to foster their children in kinds of ways, especially focus on the study to the art. Children may be sent to go to the piano class once a week, or go to the drawing class twice a week; however, if they spent their time on reading those detective stories, by which children may cultivate their reasoning ability, they may be deemed as alleged disobedience or repellence. It is unquestionably that parents have demolish the significance of the reasoning ability insofar as they only focus on cultivating the children' capacity of the art. Consequently, it is the entire society's prejudice that leads to the lack of intellect of individuals.

In addition, the number of individuals who entrance into the fields of intellect may decline as those who are in these fields obtain little emphasis from the society.  For instance, a myriad of freshman going to the gate of the university are major in philosophy, or some other abstract disciplines. No matter whether they like their own major, they choose the certain field and start to probe into the truth of the world. Notwithstanding, the less popularity of the graduate student in philosophy contribute to less students enter to the field of study. Just imagine how desperate the one is that he/she cannot find a decent position after 4-years onerous work. Even if the field of study admittedly benefits those ones who are immerse in probing into it, barely will more individuals choose to study in it in order to acquire the so-called intellect, irrespective of a brilliant job.

In conclusion, though people indeed recognize the benefit of the intellect, they are not likely to be equipped with those skills since the society have not provide adequate opportunities for people, and emphasize somehow little in the issue.

(这段是说因为社会对the fields of intellect 不够重视，那么从事这些领域的人可能会越来越少，总觉得这个不太能说明题目，呵呵，题目不需要讨论社会不够重视intellect的坏处，而且就算要讨论，个人觉得应该用来支撑社会不够重视intellect的论证，可以说，从事the fields of intellect 的人就业难，人数在不断减少，说明社会对此的重视不够什么的，个人意见哦)
