ISSUE40【Aero小组】第13次作业 by bigyan Disagree:The speaker asserts that the scholar and researcher’s concerning about contribution( to the society,这个修饰语不能少) is less important than their individual interest. It wrongly suggests that the way to make the society progress is to satisfy their interest. (文中有这个意思么?好像没有说使社会进步的手段是满足个人的兴趣,只是说满足个人兴趣更重要而已)To(on) the contrary, I strongly disagree with the assertion and analyze the issue on case-to-case basis.First and foremost, the scholar’s contribution to social in fact elevate our life to richer and fewer convenience since industrial evolution, for the reason that it is true for them that the contribution largely outweighs any individual interest. It is tempting to think that researchers tend to pursue a research for their own sake and interest. Yet they should not tend to give up a vision of them-a vision that what they do extend beyond mere individual satisfaction and interest to a border contribution to the community, to the academe, and to the world as whole. After all, in retrospect, few would dispute that the greatest scientists’ important contributions not their interests enable the contemporaries and offspring to remember their names such as Newton, Einstein, ford, and so forth. For instance, even after ford’s innovation in the assemble-line completely changed the way of industrial production, he could not realize that, to some extent, he had helped society elevate the standard of living and the comfortable level. (这个ford的例子没有听说过,应该是个发明什么的人吧,不过这里举了他的发明促进社会进步的例子并不能表明是他更注重对社会的贡献啊,说不定他本人挺喜欢发明的,并以此为乐趣呢)What is more, history informs us that the extent to which society develops determines whether the researcher and scholar is able to satisfy and concern their own interest. For example, a biologist’s interest is very much about researching the human genome whose process only can be observing through super microscope and whose complicated results need compute through powerful computer. However, without such scientific implement can he meet his goal and accomplishment? Certainly not. In other words, had the researchers concerned themselves about satisfaction to their interests rather than contributions to the world, our researches might still be computing with mere hands and pens. This of course illustrates that the depth of knowledge, the overall accomplishment and the final result they gain lies in the development of world.(这一段观点不知该说是新颖还是有些跑体,说社会发展的程度决定了科学家是否能够追求自己的兴趣,但是并没有最后自圆其说,回到哪个更重要上来。 Notwithstanding emphasis on the concerning about contribution to the world, a strong interest partly has an effect on the contribution. Honestly, when it comes to the research, most ones would agree that research whose result all too often is too vague and speculative is the way which we human satisfy our craving to understand ourselves and the world around us. At this time, the individual interest is a strong motivation to meet the final goal. One apt illustration of my point involves the founder of Microsoft-Bill Gates who gave up education halfway and invited a new operating system with his strong interest in computer . It is true that his innovation means enhancing ours way how to proceed in life.In sum, query whether the contribution is more important the individual interest, and whether the contribution is a function of interest. To be better for our offspring, we should heighten the awareness of concerning about our contribution. To stimulate development, we have a duty to concentrate on individual interest, most of which are vital to the contribution. (结尾写的很精才,学习中) 俺的作文,呵呵,也请修改下 http://bbs.gter.ce.cn/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=801403&extra=page%3D1 |
