The Committee on Admissions has very carefully considered your application for admission, school transcript, standardized test scores and other supporting documents.  While on the basis of these records, we believe it is possible that you would succeed academically and contribute to Rhodes, we cannot overlook the financial realities of your situation.

^pref_name^, the annual cost of attending Rhodes for the 2008-09 academic year is $43,680 plus the cost of books, transportation and personal expenses.  Based on the data you provided on your Certification of Finances and considering the maximum amount of grant or scholarship funds you could receive from Rhodes ($20,000 per year), it appears that an education at Rhodes may not be financially feasible.  Thus, we are unable to offer you a place in our entering class at this time.
