我们严格按照一些前辈介绍的方案行事：预约9点签证，6点起床，6：50到梅隆镇门口，向保安出示156表进一楼大厅排队。前面大约30人。7：30开始放人进入8楼的电梯。电梯门打开，再次排队—排队进入美领馆。进门安检之后被工作人员要求首先填好快递单，然后第三次排队—在1号窗前排队递交申请材料，领到面谈号码。然后是坐等漂亮的中秘叫自己的面谈号码。叫到号，领回申请材料，第四次排队—排小队按指纹。见头一个窗口里一位和善的，貌似传说中的水车大叔的大叔正向他招手示意过去，于是赶紧过去递上材料。（若不是时间赶得巧，前面恰好没有人，这里应该还要排一个队。）（姑且叫他Uncle Shui, 简称“US”吧）谈话就开始了：
US to F1: So you are going to xxx.  What program is it?
F1: xxx
US: Is it the same as xxx （another program）?
F1: No, this one is more academic-oriented.
US: But it is still a xxx year program?
F1: Yes.
US to F1 and F2: So what is it like to work for xxx together? (大叔看材料挺仔细，看出F1和F2现在在一个单位)
F1: It is actually nice.  We go to work together, go home together…
F2: And work overtime together.
US: (smiling) I understand that….
US: when did you know each other?
F1: xxx.
US to F1: What would you do after you graduate from xxx?
F1: xxx
US: So you will not go back to work for xxx?
F1: xxx
US: Do you have your special area? What is you specialty in your area?
F1: xxx
US to F2: So what would you do in xxx, as a high-power xxx, I do not suppose you will just stay home
F2: xxx
US: (start writing on the forms) don’t you also want to take the time to get a masters degree?
F2: No.  Actually, I would prefer to take a break…
US: (still writing on the forms) yeah, why not.
US: (still writing on the forms) is your specialty also xxx?
F2: No, I am  xxx.
US: (finish writing) enjoy you stay at xxx
绿条飞出。下楼到对面中信银行里的小邮局，排此行的最后一个队—排队交快递签证的费用和单据。幸福的小队呀。
