关于MBA in accounting的问题，请教专家了。

收到了troy unviersity的Mba的offer,准备赴美。之前查过这所学校排名200多外，看网上资料和中介说这所学校MBA会计方向是强项，CPA通过率很高，我有以下想法，请专家帮我分析定位。
本人大学本科刚毕业，MBA课程对于我可能没有什么帮助，我想修硕士会计专业，中介给我介绍了这所学校的MBA in accounting专业，可是学校名气排名都一般，我本科不是会计专业，如果要转校该怎么转？是不是还得读MBA会计方向？我听说美国会计硕士有两种，本科会计和本科非会计的，可我是MBA会计方向，是不是不好转入名校？
还有转校问题，我没有语言成绩，所以得先参加ESL，得到语言成绩后可以转校还是一段时间后上专业课后再转？GPA在3.0以上     谢谢指教。:)

个人认为CPA通过率没太大参考价值。这个学校的mba一般般。

其实这个program跟一般学校的master in accounting没太大差别。你要转校的话，应该可以转macc,msa,mas,mba in accounting都可以。但是并不是所有的学校都认可你原学校的学分，有的可能只承认3-9分，有的可能不承认troy的学分。这意味着你要重新读。

不管你转哪个学校，都必须需要TOEFL成绩。决大多数商学院必须还要GMAT。

另外我认为，你如果本科不是会计的话，就算该校MBA毕业，也不一定能够参加NY CPA考试，原因如下，这是我从NY STATE BOARD OF ACCOUNTANCY摘录下来的“
On or after August 1, 2004, in addition to meeting all applicable provisions of this Part, to be registered as a program recognized as leading to licensure in public accountancy which meets the requirements in section 70.1 of this Title, such program shall be a baccalaureate or higher program that, by requisites or prerequisites, shall ensure completion of at least 150 semester hours or its equivalent, including a minimum of 33 semester hours or its equivalent in the professional accounting content area and a minimum of 36 semester hours or its equivalent in the general business content area. Such curriculum shall include the study of business and accounting communications, ethics and professional responsibility, and accounting research, either by integration into the coursework of other courses or in separate courses.”

也就是说，你MBA毕业，总学分肯定满足150学分，但是你的Accounting course肯定不满33学分（因为你的program总共学分是30分，其中还包括几门选修课，你的accounting course肯定达不到33学分）。另外general business course需要36分，你的MBA Program应该也没有这么多。你如果要想考CPA,你必须要补休会计本科的ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLE, INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTING, AUDITING, ADVANCED ACCOUNTING, INDIVIDUAL TAXATION, CORPORATE TAXATION, BUSINESS LAW等课程。

谢谢Kathy斑竹的专业信息,我还想请问当我拿到GMAT和托福成绩后是先在troy上学再转还是开学前把材料递交其他学校拿到offer转校？

关于学分问题，troy的MBA专业是第一年修MBA的课程，第二年才开始会计课程，按斑竹的意思我得上到第二年以后再转校，还不一定全认学分，说不定还要重读2年master？

还有，各州CPA考试是否都不同？我这学校在阿拉巴马州，要参加NY的考试？请指点。

对不起。楼主，搞错了。我不了解这个学校。以为这个学校在troy, NY. 以下是ALABAMA的要求。楼主自己研究吧。

Persons who first sit for the uniform CPA examination on or after January 1, 1995, must have completed a total of 150 semester hours or 225 quarter hours of postsecondary education, including a baccalaureate degree at a college or university accredited by a regional accreditation board such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities, with a concentration in accounting or the substantial equivalent as determined by the board. The candidate shall be determined to have a concentration in accounting or its substantial equivalent upon presenting evidence to the Board that he or she has satisfied any one of the following:
1. The candidate shall have completed
(i) at least 33 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in accounting (excluding introductory courses) at the upper division undergraduate and/or graduate level including minimum requirements in each of the following subject areas:
(I) Financial Accounting - 9 semester hours
(II) Auditing - 6 semester hours
(III) Taxation - 6 semester hours
(IV) Management Accounting - 3 semester hours
(V) Governmental and Not-For-Profit Accounting - 3 semester hours
(VI) Accounting Electives - 6 semester hours; and
(ii) at least three (3) semester or equivalent quarter hours in business law, concentrating primarily on the Uniform Commercial Code; and
(iii) at least 27 semester or equivalent quarter hours in business courses (other than accounting courses) at the undergraduate
