Still remember a (应该用the,又不是泛指)simple arithmetic question most of us learnt (是过去式,不是过去分词)from elementary school(这是个什么句式?貌似也不是祈使句,也不是陈述句,可以这么用么,我查了资料,要不就用反问,要不久要加主语,也就是说这句话得这么写,Remenber the simple question that most of us learned in elementary school ?或者i can still remenber the simple question most of us learned from elementary school), if a person needs to boil a pot of water, which takes 10 minutes, fry two eggs, 2 minutes each, cook rice, 6 minutes, clean the house, 15 minutes, wash his clothes, 11 minutes, how many minutes at least he needs to finish all the jobs? (写的好中文化的感觉,你有在别的地方见过这样的写法吗?如果没有,不要轻易尝试)The answer is clear, half an hour, washing clothes and boiling water simultaneously, 11 minutes, frying eggs, 4 minutes, and finally, leaving rice in the electric cooker while go ahead to tidy up the house, 15 minutes. This it a oversimplified calculation, but when the age of 10, I first met this question, I can hardly stop myself wondering, can one do so many things at the same time without messing them up? Now, in an age of 23(at the age of 23), I finally come to a definitely answer, “Yes”, one not only could but also should handle as many tasks as they can in(at) the same time.
For one thing, as the byword goes, Time is money. Waiting until one thing is finished to start another not longer correspond to the creed of this modern society--- efficiency(你自己把这句话的成分划一下看看?waiting till one thing is finished, and then going on to another doesn't fit the requirement of the moredern society---efficiency). Just like the above arithmetic problem( just as the arithmetic problem mentioned above), why one have(has) to wait (and watch去掉) the(定冠词不能少啊) water till boiling and then go(goes) to next task? Isn’t it more advisable to use the 16 minutes saved by leaving rice and water to the oven and (加go,和前面use并列)既然用and连接,怎能不加动词作谓语,要记着它是连接两个并列成分的阿to do other more meaningful things? +[/L9L;L/h&s#P:_
Moreover, for many careers, even scientists, things are required of being processed in(at) the same time. My major is chemistry in the university, and every time we run experiments, we have to handle several reactions in the same time, for the reason reagents can never wait, especially some chronic chemicals, which needs hours or even days to generate the exact outcome which only keeps in that shape a few seconds and needs to react will another products which may also needs a long time to produce.这句话简直太没有层次感了,太不漂亮,你完全可以用现在分词作状语,还可以用时间状语就可以把这么多短句结合成一个漂亮的长句了,还有就是我个人觉得这个例子有点偏题 Unless a commodious lab is available and abundant technicians are idle, one needs to keep an eye on several simultaneous reactions. |留学|签证|TOEFL|GRE#Ql"[ K/B
Admittedly, one may be more careful and conscientious when all his or her tension was focused on a single topic. However, the jungle rule of this fast developing society is advancing as quickly as you can. What’s more, the ruthless reality is, things never come one by one. Thus, it seems wise to acquire the ability of “distraction”.
