When it comes to fashion and appearance, quite a few seniors would look down upon fashion; however, fashion and appearance nowadays have become a draw for more and more people.
Fashion and appearence are to our youth what fish is to water in modern times. For example, children are crazy about KFC and Mcdanna's, which are a sign of fashion. My little brother, a week or so, would ask for money to purchase some fries in KFC because advertisements on the Internet or television always tell these young boys and girls that how could be fashionable if you have not go to KFC or Mcdana's. Similarly, girls may be obessessed with some geogrous skirts in the fashion band shops. In short, appearance and fashion can never be ignored among young people.
The same logic may apple to adults, especially among middle or upper level of society, reasoning that modern appearence and fashion are not only representative of their own reputation, but also of the image of their companies. For example, my friend Tom is an interior designer. When meeting his critical client, he would always pick up the latest fashion style of clothes, including suits, a stipped tie, and a pair of banded shoes. He once put it "his appearence will prove out that he values his client and he need further friendship in the long run. It is througn the fashion apearance that he wins his client.
Of course, fashion and appearance are not the whole world. Some senior citizens, for instance, may be indulged in Chinese ancient
styles of clothes like some delicate silken skirts or shirt. And plenty of residents are fantiscs of Chinese traditional food culture as well as light dishes, including greasy Pecking duck, spicy Kang Pao chicken with small red chilies and peppers, and shark's fin soup. They would rather pay more attention to their favorite food and old clothes than the useless fashion.
By and large, despite the fact that plenty of the aged do not care much about fashion, young and middle-aged people are becoming fashion by changing their appearance.
