We have adopted the relentless pace of the very machines that were supported to simplify our lives, with the result that, whether at work or play, people do not feel lie their lives have changed for the better. Society is progressing at such a fast pace that changes occur all the time. Changes definitely have both positive and negative effects on our lives. Some changes do serve the effect of making our lives easier, but not necessarily better. Events in our lives always do not have perfect benefits, so do changes.8 K) v/ u$ Y8 L+ {' w- O3 z* w/ c$ A
% s* f: Q, K3 m. W" XIn the 21st Century, there are so much advancements in technology which all can , have brought convenience and make our lives easier. However, it is hard to argue that technological conveniences have made us happier, allowing us to adopt a better lifestyle. Changes and progress in technology is a double-edged sword, for some technological products are proved to have detrimental effects in our health. Cell-phones are found to emit harmful radiation, which may contribute to cancer. Event the hairdryer that we all use, expose our head to an electromagnetic field and heat, which may kill our brain cells. The number of computer and cyber-space addict are also on a rising trend. Technology has not kept up to its promise of simplifying our lives but instead posed health and social problems of global concern.

4 G, s; V4 k0 L: }$ Q1 `1 eFor the simple fact that there is no definite good or bad, and this applies to the changes that we encounter. The seemingly beneficial decisions and changes that we make may cause harmful drawbacks in the long run. Another issue of great global concern is the world’s nuclear policy. Nuclear energy is a source of energy that seem to bring phenomenal benefits, but has proved to have more detrimental effects, causing global crisis such as the cold war. |
