With great powers come great responsibility, it is fair for commoners to expect great deeds from our powerful public figures. We always ask for the best from our public figures. From world leaders to entertainment superstars, I bet these important people believe they have to deal with the pubic well, ever since they step into the public scene. The public is for sure, demanding and critical. I feel the public naturally wants the best out of the leaders, but some people are just too demanding and vindictive, expecting way too much.0 }* d3 H0 @) u4 G6 ]+ [
) {7 D" C/ ~- pThere are always people who expect more lucrative benefits, more than they can swallow. These bunch of people demand too much, always in attempt to rip others off and surely wants the most service from the public figures. I consider that this group of is a pain in the bump into negative and wildly destructive comments on the net, mostly vicious personal attacks, we always wonder where on Earth these bunch of people come from. These people are considered to be the forum trolls where they can never stop attacking other friendly posters, no matter constructive or not. On a forum that allows all viewers to rate a post with a click of the mouse, it is nicely designed in a way that votes from a same user could not stack, with the creators saying that “this a good way to occupy those forum trolls”. Thus, this principle can be applied to the way some view our public figures and the things that people expect from them. For Example, when we go to a concert held by a superstar singer, we expect good music and entertainment. However, attackers on such public figures will not stop, as we soon see vindictive comments flooding in to the media. Same applies to politics and our country’s leaders, those who expect too much can never be satisfied and is as usual, overly critical of the government’s whatever policies.6 H( o- E4 C0 s2 g0 I6 L
" F4 ^; Q' C6 V; FWe know that vicious comments can cause massive destructive, with lots of examples of public figures’ lives ruined. For example in South Korea’s entertainment media, those who expect so much that they can never stop condemning a star’s acting or singing brought great ruin. Vicious attacks led to several stars committing suicide and it is known for sure that these public figures simply could not take it.5 C9 m7 u. c: ~( i; {2 S; |+ Y

However, the majority is peaceful and friendly, only expecting what they think they truly deserve from the service of public figures. It is glad to see that admit some attacks, the majority still provides constructive comments. It is simple fact that we can never expect too much from our public figures, or they will all quit. At the end of the day, it is us who suffer, no leaders, no entertainment and nobody we can look up to. In all, I am still glad that our society is not dominated by such over-demanding trolls but it is still beyond me why there are always people who like to take stuff ways more they can ever swallow.
