Environmental problems are indeed, a big issue that mankind is facing. With the dangers of global warming extinction and depletion natural resources, knocking on our doors everyday, we can never put environmental issues behind our back. Developed countries are attempting to put in effort to conserve and save the environment through education and passing of environmental laws. In lieu of the notion, I feel that even though we people have awareness about environmental conservation, many of us are still damaging the earth subconsciously.

2 k. z' J5 G; G$ A- |From the macro view, a world environmental conservation treaty, the Kyoto Protocol seems to be a failure. Although the regulations of the Kyoto Protocol are nice and a decent number of nations have signed it, big developed nations failed to recognize the treaty, so the protocol has not been passed. Developing countries like India and China are still emitting a good deal of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Several countries are industrializing, so environmental issues are compromised. On the crossroads of developing economically or going green, countries that are not so developed will surely choose to industrialize. Thus, most nations’ governments actually do not place conservation of environment as their top priority, as from observation of governmental policies. Even though we do care for the nature and preventing animals from extinction, this awareness is not enough, as our actual actions prove so.

( U  O, \# b' Z% K4 pI have realized that the works of environmental conservation are mostly done by environmental organizations such as World Wild Life Fund and the PETA. We as people living on Earth have much to doubt about, does our own action damage the Earth? Sometimes we do not even know that we are causing constant damage to earth, in poor reality, many have indeed developed bad environmental habits when asked about our own environmental conservation efforts, we can hardly answer. This is the true situation that we are going through, as in our school’s assembly, an environmentalist come to talk to us. After the talk, I realized that our countrymen are not environmental sawy, as the talk had given some examples of our bad habits.

In all, there is still much  to  do about the environment. Action speak louder that words, a simple contribution is much useful than mere awareness.
