Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Advertising can tell you a lot about a country. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

With the rapidly drastic development of commercial economy, advertisement has been appeared in streets, markets, subway channels, even elevators. Recently, an issue of whether advertising can tell people a lot about a country has been brought into public attention. Arguing against the idea are these people who hold the opinion that advertisement just play a simple role as a vehicle in the commercial action. However, the views of the argument vary from person to person. As far as I am concerned it is true that advertising certainly can tell people a lot about the country because of it can show the need of society and trait of the country.

The reasons for advertising has the ability to tell stranger a great amount about a country are various and the most significant one is it can impersonal reflect the real and basic need of the country directly and effectively. According a latest survey conducted by officials, it can be seen that more times some produces have advertised in television, more need of the produce by the society are. For example, if the television usually play the advertising of pig’s food. We can safely draw the conclusion that there are an expanding numbers of residents has feed pigs in this country.
Another example is that once the advertisement about luxurious decoration is appearing on nearly every street and bus stop, it is true that many rich men live in this community.

In addition, another contributing factor of advert is an important way to introduce a country is they almost fit the culture and history background of the country. It is universally acknowledged that every nation has its own characteristic and trait, and adverts always can figure out that. Our society is filled with the examples of that. For instance, an AD company makes the adverts which in some content for two different countries, they have to consider the cultural and historical aspects of the distinct nation. The example is not isolated; it just is typical of dozens I have heard.

Certainly, it is a little bit haste to assert that AD almost is capable of telling some parts of the nation, since advertisement, as always, contribute both trait of independence and commonness. With the increasing improvement of international progress, more and more advertising are made in some certain way. We may quote a single example of that. KFC, the remarkably famous brand of American short order, has nearly same advertising in many different countries to sell their hamburger and beverage. However, these situations are relatively less.

Wonderful though the reasons that adverts can not tell people a lot of a country are, they can not compete with the sakes that advertisement is a effective way to exhibit a nation to stranger really is, when AD to some degree can reflect the really need and trait of a nation are taken into consideration.
