Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? One should never judge a person by external appearances. Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

People often say, “You should never judge a person by external appearances”. Is it an absolute truth? From my point of view, a person’s character and morels should never be judged from the appearance. Whereas you can tell
more or less about some other information, like the living habits, taste and even background from a person’s appearance.

To begin with, you should never judge a person’s character and morels from his appearance. People’s looks are firmly determined when they are born. There is no way to be changed as people wish. You may easily get a wrong answer if you simply judge an ugly person to be with an evil mind and a good-looking person to be with a beautiful mind. The real situation may prove to be quite the opposite. A famous master piece “Notre Dame de Paris” teaches us an incisive lesson about this. The ugly and deaf Quasimodo is actually the most kindhearted and brave one. In contrast, the apparently handsome and decent Claude turns out to be insidious and vicious in nature. People’s appearances just do not have the direct connection with their natures.

However, a person’s external appearance can still convey certain clue of what he is like. For example, it tells about a person’s living habits. Dirty clothes and stink smell of a person may disclose that he is not a tidy one; and vice versa. Also, the appearance can tell about the tastes. People who are fond of Punk fashion are intended to appear as confrontational, shocking and rebellious as possible. Punks are characterized by wearing deliberately offensive T-shirts which are often torn by purpose, big clunky boots, tightly tapered pants and vests painted with logos that express musical tastes or political views. Their hairs are typically dyed in bright colors such as red, green or orange and arranged into Mohawk. You can easily judge a person who is Punk from these clear characteristics. Moreover, you can even judge a person’s background from his looks. The famous detective Sherlock Holmes often judges people’s occupation and history from some details on their looks. Once he judges a lady to be musician because she has delicate fingers and behaves elegantly. Holmes seldom gets wrong answers. Amazingly, all his inferences are merely based on the details on people’s appearances.

To conclude, there’s something that the appearance can tell and something it can not. A person’s external appearance can tell you about his living habits, taste and even background, but never his character and morals.

People often say, “You should never judge a person by external appearances”. Is it an absolute truth? From my point of view, a person’s character and morals should never be judged from the appearances. Whereas you can tell more or less about some other information ('tell about information'是比较诡异的搭配. You tell 'things' about a person but not 'tell about' information.), like the living habits, taste and even background from a person’s appearances. I agree with the statement in question when...however I don't agree with the statement when it comes to...)

To begin with, you should never judge a person’s character and morals from his appearances. People’s looks are firmly (determine已有firm的意思,不需要重复) determined when they are born. There is no way to be changed them as people wish (? You may easily get a wrong answer if you simply judge an ugly person to be with an evil mind and a good-looking person to be with a beautiful mind good. The real situation may prove to be quite the opposite. A famous masterpiece “Notre Dame de Paris” (This is the French name of the novel. In the English-speaking world, it's more commonly known as 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'.) teaches us an incisive lesson about this. The ugly and deaf Quasimodo is actually the most kindhearted and brave one. In contrast, the apparently handsome and decent Claude turns out to be insidious and vicious in nature. People’s appearances just do not have the direct connections with their natures. 。therefore we shouldn't judge people by their appearances就结了.

However, a person’s external appearances can still convey certain clues of to what he is like. For example, it they tells about a person’s living habits. Dirty clothes and stink (stink就是一种气味,不需要重复smell) smell of on a person may disclose that he is not a tidy one; and vice versa. Also, the appearances can tell about the tastes. Their hairs are typically dyed in bright colors such as red, green or orange and arranged into Mohawks. You can easily judge that a person who is Punk from these clear characteristics. Moreover, you can even judge a person’s background from his looks. The famous detective Sherlock Holmes often judges people’s occupation and history from some details of their looks. Once he judges a lady to be a musician because she has delicate fingers and behaves elegantly. Holmes seldom gets wrong answers. Amazingly, all his inferences are merely based on the details of people’s appearances.

To conclude, there’s something that the appearances can tell and something it cannot. A person’s external appearances can tell you about his living habits, taste and even background, but never his character and morals.

另外就是文中已经评论的,judge这个字倾向于带有感情色彩,所以请小心处理例子,避免写出来之后读者看了以为你的题目是what can we tell about a person from external appearances..

Do you agree or disagree...
