53)Movies are popular all over the world. Explain why movies are so popular. Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer（185题目）

When it comes to movies, I think nobody does not like watching them. From their birth to now, numerous people have been fascinated by movies. They are so popular across the world that a fairly proportion of people would like to watch them rather than reading novels or other resources. Thus, why do movies are so prevailing? My reasons are listed as follows.

In the first place, from the perspective of expense, seeing movies is much more cheaper than other ways. Usually speaking, we can only spend less money in watching movies. Even though a new movie is just released, a myrid of people will go to the cinemas to watch it, because it costs less. Take my friend and me for example, I am really a movie fan. After a hard work's week, we tend to go to the theater together for relaxing ourselves. We can just spend less money, then enjoy watching it. Therefore, compared with other ways, movies are much more economical.

In the second place, by means of movies, people can achieve or create what they imagine. In other words, movies have the ability to satisfying people's desire for the imagination. This can be easily illustrated by the "science movies" which are mostly adapted from science fictions or comic books. For instance, "THE INCREDIBLE HULK" which I just watched before a couple of days, is one of the most popular science films. This makes it feasible for people to illustrate the imaginary world and characters in the vitual screen.

Furthermore, movies can provide people with a channel or opportunity to learn about the other places in the world. It may be impossible for every person to travel around the global, but to understand or learn about much more information in the world, people are inclined to enter cinemas to feel or experience the exotic culture and custom. In the theater, we can watch a variety of movies that comes from someplaces we are not familiar with. For instance, we usually have the chance to see Indian or East Europe movies in the cinemas, and which makes us know the history and tradtion in other countries.

In a word, the popularity of movies is not an occation, but it is an unevitable result of people's curiosity, imagination and so on.
