The assertion that grave mistake is sure to be made because of theory preceding data may serve as the basic rule in the scientific world, while considering other fields of theorization, arts, economics, politics and such on(原来还可以这样用啊~), it would turn out insufficient, or improper. In the scientific field, precise data stands as the crucial foundation of research and investigation, and the explicit evidence of testing and declaration. Before a theory was publicized, there has to be several stages involving the indispensible data. First, raw materials have to be obtained and filtered to gain a specific theme to decide in which direction should we focus on. Then a further analysis of the selected resources are necessary to find out the fundamental elements underlying the messy phenomena. Followingly, the elements are draw back together to give an presumed theory. By then, much more data would still be needed to prove the verity of the theory, either to be overthrown for a totally new reboot or be complemented and amended for perfection. Yet, skepticism never fade in its role of propelling the scientific advancement,during which, convincible data are always the best ammunition.(好句!),

The emergence of a new artistic genre depends on the innovative effluence of personal passion and inspiration rather than the accumulation of evidence or proof. Van gogh initiated the theory of Impressionism without any record of past reference in color or pattern data. Nor did Confucius developed Confucianism(这个跟段首的列举对应不起来,最好在前面列举中加上philosophy, 或者更抽象,更广泛的名词来统一一下) in a way of summarize(summarzing) the behavior or idea deposit. Nor did the theory of orchestral, classical, popular, rock music come from an intense analysis of the past experiences(这个词用的过了,有些音乐还是要借鉴过去的,没必要树靶子给别人攻击). In all, when it comes to the case of art theorization, it is not only difficult to give the definition of data in this field, but also impossible to depict art with the rigid and limited language based on data.(觉得这句有点矛盾,因为前半句说在艺术范畴难以定义数据,然而后面又说根据数据无法描绘艺术,这就让人搞不懂作者是否支持在艺术范畴难以定义数据)

Besides, there’re(从英语老师那听来的,在正式写作里最好别用这类缩写,类似的还有cannot) also other fields which need both the reliable data analyzing and the risky experience speculation. Apparently, it is reasonable to draw any theory from authentic data rather than variable conjectures in order to make sure of its credibility. However, in the case of incapable data translation, such as in art, or incomplete data resource, such as in economic and politic, theories may also turn out to be magnificent or instructive instead of marked with grave mistake.
虽然很多人已经说过同样的话了,但我还是说一句:flourish的语言无可挑剔~
综观全文,作者分了三个层面讨论:数据很容易得到也很权威的领域,数据无法定义没多大作用的领域,准确数据很难得到且浮动大的领域,这样分给我很大启发。不过涅,我到最后一段才清楚作者是这样分的,前面暗示不够,我读到第三个point 的时候一度以为这个point跟第二个是一样的.
还有一个问题就是第二个point观点不太统一~
