Teachers should be paid according to the performance of their students.（07.10.28）

In the most areas of my country, the teachers in school are paid on the basis of the performance of their students, because people think that the student's academic level can really reflect the teacher's level of educating. However, in most of the case, it is not fair for teachers to be paid just according to the students' performance, and that will not only harm those teachers' positivity but also, in turn, bring negative influences to the students.

Obviously, it is no hard to find that not all of the schools have the same educational quality, which means that the students in different schools, from poor ones to popular ones, are staying in different levels, from low to high. And in my hometown, there are only two best high schools, which have the best students. So ever year, the students coming from the two schools are always getting higher markers than those from other common schools. However, it does not mean that the teachers from normal schools have not paid as much efforts as those who own outstanding students. Consequently, it is definitely not fair to them, who even use one's whole life focusing on the students' study, especially on these students whose studying works are in bad situations.

Besides, the performance of students can not truly reflect the teacher's educational level. The reasons are apparent. The performance of students is determined by both two factors: one coming from the teacher, and the other from the students themselves. A good performance of an individual can not leave with the teacher's help, but it mainly contributes to the personal efforts and hard working. So maybe in one case, the students in a class are very diligent, but the teacher is not so responsible; in another case, the teacher is very responsible for whose teaching work, but one's students are not try their best. Thus, there are totally big problems for paying the teachers on the basis of students' performance.

In addition to the unfair and untrue factors, if all of the teachers are paid by the student's performances, the ones who are influenced a lot are the students themselves. On the one hand, some teachers who are willing to grasp more money will put large pressures on their students, whose studying burdens are already quite heavy. This probably will lead students to give up their study, because they lost the interesting of study and can not endure the overfull pressures. On the other hand, some teacher whose students are performing badly will feel upset and disappointed by earning the lower salary; and their enthusiasm will be totally overwhelmed. As a result, one's teaching level will be getting awful eventually. If so, do you think the performance of their students can be changed better?

We can see there are many problems and questions about this issue should be considered. So we should not simply posit the idea that the performance of students is the best way measuring the teachers' work. As far as I am concerned, the teachers should be paid according to their efforts on the educational career.
