1月12日作业 It is better to finish a project and then start another than to finish two projects at the same time 07.6.24
When you are facing with two projects which need to be down at the same time, which way do you prefer: finish them one by one, or doing them simultaneously? Well, it is hard to say one is absolutely better than the other, because in different situations, the best choice is different.
Many factors determining whether to do two projects at the same time, or do them one by one. Among many of them, the first point I want to express is the time factors. As we all know, in most of cases, focusing one’s energy on one project at a time is better than distribute one’s vigor on two different things. Because people are easy to be influenced by other things, finishing one project and then starting another one, this way can prevents us from being distracted. However, have you ever though the fact that the time is not permitted us to achieve them one after one? Since only after we have finished the first project, then we can start the next one, we often can not control and arrange the limited time well. Too much time spending on one projects will always affects the accomplishment of another one. If we start dealing with both them together, we will have more freedoms to adjust ourselves’ schedules and finish both of them in time.
Also, we should consider the abilities of different people. For some people, they are able to absorb a wide variety of knowledge at a same time, and combined them into an integrative one. As for these people, they usually can get new ideas and elicitations from one project, and then put them down to another one. So if they chose to cope with two projects coinstantaneously, the knowledge used in different projects will compensate and benefit to each other. On the contrary, some other people may be confused in two kinds of projects. If they can not handle them at the same time, it is better to finish them one by one.
In addition to the two conditions I mentioned above, we also need to consider whether the two projects have the common grounds. For example, if your sociological teacher acquires you to do a social research, while your economical professor want you to write a paper about the people’s living standers. You can take a social research on the local residents’ living condition, because in this way, you can not only finish the social investigation task, but also can get lots of information relating to your economical paper. Numerous examples can be listed; consequently, sometimes we can finish two projects as well as finishing them one by one.
In conclusion, if I don’t have adequate time to finish my projects; if I am a strongly capable person; if my projects have many commons, I will choose finishing them at the same time. If not so, it is much smarter for me to take them one after one. |
