There is a sentence in my mind when reading this topic, and it is said by Chairman Mao. （我觉得这里阅卷的是美国人，他们不知道毛主席，举名人例子最好是美国人熟悉的一些人，这样会更加妥当点）That is, the future of our society mostly depends on our children. When I was young, I did not quite make sense of it. But, I gradually understand it as I grow up.
Children are so important to our society. We can see this from the attention that the whole society pays to education. These years, our country spends so much, not only money, but also spirit, in educating. However, that does not mean that we have learned how to bring up the children in order to make them turn talents to the society. On the contrary, so many problems about our education happen nearly every year. I have to say, although not willing to, that we do not know how to raise children to citizens who can help about a better society.
I still remember several phenomenon appeared these years, all of which are evidences to what I said.
The first is about spoiled children. As a result to the policies China carry out, most couples have only one child each. This easily leads to spoliation. Neither the parents nor the grandparents take proper education as a necessity. They just know how to love dearly the kids, but they do not know how to educate them. And, obviously, the result is that the children are spoiled to become kings of family. They are too selfish to love even their dear relatives.(, not to love others.)
The second thing is also common in China. We can see that both the government and the citizens pay full attention to children's study. However, what they concern more is the scores. Our kids are always busy preparing for the exams. What most students purchase is not the knowledge ， but the high marks. Because that in our society, we judge and examine a student's ability mostly by scores. Can't I say that it is the problem of the whole society?
The last what I want to say is just a striking thing happened a few years ago.  It happened between a college student and a bear. The boy was from one famous university in our country. One day, when he went to the zoo, he took a bottle of vitriol along with him and fed it to the bear. Asked reasons when discovered, he gave an answer that stroke many people. He said,"I just want to make an experiment to see whether the bear can identify what can be eaten and what can not". That is a college student! Does this do nothing about the university?
Well, what listed above are just several examples. But they are also common problems of the whole society, which may occur every year or even every day. From these examples, we can infer that we still have not mastered the skills of raising children to help bring about a better society. We have to do more in education, and we ourselves have to change a lot.
