should governments spend more money in sponsoring arts than athletics

If I have a opportunity to wear in the shoes of the government, I will balance the money devoted to arts and atheltics. Because athletics is momentous part in citizens' life as well as arts, which also makes huge benefits to culture comunication and the modernization of city, government should definitely pay enough recommend to both of them.

Athletics is fairly significant for citizens' physical condition and mental health, it also benifit for city to become famous cosmopolitan city. I like a lot of sports like basketball, swimming, badminton which make me totally relax from daily studying. When I was a middle school student, I'd like to do sports in afternoon after a period of study, I have spent a lot of blissful time with my friends and family via doing sports. Later, I found the reason why sport make people feel so happy, doing sport not only make strong muscles, but also scientists say that doing sports, leads brain producing a chemical stuff named endorphin, which makes people to have enthusiastic sense and happiness. That might be the reason why my middle school pay much attention on students' sports' ability, it definitely also take advantage of government's strong recommendations, thus, we always had more than 4 classes of PE and abundant competitions between schools. Well, I have lots zest in engage in sports, because through sports I not only can increase my physical condiction and obtain confidence, but also bring me huge amount of laughs with friends and make me a happy and health mental life. My hometown city GuangZhou is a typical sport-emphasized place, there are numourous of advanced facilities and places for sports, basketball playgrounds, swimming pools, skiing indoor playgrounds for example. Citizens gain a lot of happiness from these benefits, which enrich their spiritual life, and thus the city becomes more harmonious. In consequence, GZ city held motherland-Chinese's 29th sports compitition in 2001, and it is also preparing for the next Asia's sport competition in 2009, which is a fairly fantastic opportunity to make our city become one of the most famous cosmopolitan cities.

In spite of the significant of athletics, art is also fairly important to us. Scientists say that music is in human's gene, and chromosome has some conections between music and dyslexia. In my colleage, I participate in orchestra which I have never had engage before. I learned clarinet and made a lot of friends in it. We discuss different kinds of music, share opinions of each other. Not only members exchange each other's emotion after exercise time, but also cooperate and complish the euphonious music together. Orchestra life increase my abilty of cooperate with other people, and ability to understand other people and make my sound harmonious to theirs. Orchestra life to me playing clarinet, make me breath smoothly and calls back the twinkle in my eyes, increase my interesting in exploring and detcting of the world. Painting also related to one's writing and discription abiltiy which greatly benifit to impoving people's quality. Both art and athletics can edify our citizens' life.

Thus, I don't hold the agreement that governmen should spend more money in sponsoring arts than athletics, because athletics is as well as significant to citizens and both of them have connections to each other and contributions to city's spiritual construction as well.
