The problems governments deal with can be divided into two groups: one is of pressing social problems that needs to be solved immediately; another contains the anticipated problems of the future. When it comes to the governments’ duties, I partly agree with the speaker’s broad assertion that the recent problems in our communities should get adequate attention from government. However, at the same time, ignoring the anticipated problems will cause disaster to its people in the long run, which leads to generating more and more severe problems.
The social problems emerged today must be urgent and serious ones; consequently, there is no doubt that these matters are superior to those underlying ones. Numerous pressing problems today are putting in front of us, from national to international issues, from human’s interest to the living environment, including problems of people’s poverty, resource depletion, educational drawbacks, environmental contamination and so on. If our government does not take any action to cope with them immediately, a series of succeeded results will be unpredictably terrible, and our whole society might traps into a babelism situation. Possibly one day, our world is full with violent(violence), commotions, convulsions. Any of which will, eventually in turn, bring significant damage to the regime and our governments themselves, such as losing the trust and favor of the public.
However, on the other hand, if today we can anticipate the potential problems which probably happened one day in the future, there is no way for the government evading the responsibility of solving them as earlier as possible. It always be too late to attach importance to those previously served as latent problems until they became big disasters to our community, country, as well as the whole world. The SARSE(SARS?) event is just an apt illustration. I clearly remember the horrible situation that year in 2003: hundreds of thousands of people’s lives were deprived by this kind of epidemic sickness. Many countries, especially Chinese government, almost mobilize very (every?)available method to save patients’ lives. I concede that every of them really did well in responding the immediate problem at that moment, however, we sill(still) have to realize the fact that the original coarse of SARSE due to people’s unhealthiness living habit. The government should not merely focus on the treatment of the diseases discovered today, but also should pay much more efforts to impart a sense of presentation to the public. That is to say, the most effectively way to solve problems, is positively preventing them, rather than negatively mend badly results. 好句子Thus, our government also needs to take into account the anticipated problems of the future.
Finally, the government also needs to consider the possible future effects of the actions it takes today. As for this argument, we have a lot of painful lessons in the history. A good case of which came from the era of New China establishing. At that time, in order to stimulate the economical development as well as the agriculture prosperity, the Chinese government adopted a policy that to exploit forest, lakes, and mountains, trying to shift these areas into farmland. In retrospect, this initiative was sill-conceived and largely a devastate注意词性 to the ecosystem and pervious environmental resources. As it turns out, government had to pay a much higher price to make up for the destroyed zoologic balance and restore the demolished terrain. Put the recent problems’ solutions on the cost of more problems of future, is justly like the behavior that “cut a tree, for getting the fruits”, as the Confuses once said. From which, we find that government should not be merely derived by the shot-term interest.
As I have discussed above, we can draw the conclusion that both of the immediate problems of today and the anticipated ones of the future are equally prominent to our government. To win the favor of the public, to construct a more harmonious society, to leave more wonderlands to our next generations, it is necessary for every government to stands on a higher altitude, with a broader insight.
总的来说,这篇文章写得很好,思路和结构都很清晰,例子也很恰当,句式及用词都很不错,只是存在些词汇词性的细节处理问题,以后需要多注意些。本文最大的优点就是切题,这是至关重要的.
