Arts and athletics are two important activities in human history. They promote human great creative and strong body.As the next Olympic Game will be hold in 2016, more and more people argue that governments should spend more money in support of athletics such as state-sponsored Olympic teams than in arts, they want to get succeed as Beijing in 2008.I deeply doubt about this. As far as I am concerned, governments should spend more money in support of arts than in support of athletics.Because arts is a long-term benifits, which will influnce people form generation to generation. 
In the long history of arts, hundrands of art works have been made. Those works affect us and past generation.Give us more creative inspiration.Da Vinci's aircraft is more like the nowaday's helicopter.The Zhaozhou Bridge,with its art style of architecture which contains the fluid dynamics and structural mechanics knowledge,still influnce the architects in morden bridge building.
On the other hands,famous Arts works which stored long years will be more valuble.Those arts works could store in museum and sale in exhibition.Which could improve a long industrial chain, auctioning industry,advertising industry, cinema industry, also it will benifit the industry design which will have been used in all kinds of industry producting process.People don't like to buy NIKE, which only have one style.They need different kinds of shoes, which designed by artist and designer.People can't living the country which only have one style, they will get lost in this city.Building will different outlook and sturcture inside will varide our life.
Further more the benifit in support of athletics such as state-sponsored Olympic teams is terminated.All the citizen could not get strong body through this hole process. Heracles is the great one of Olympic, but he could not be every one. The Olympic econmic benifit could only influnce short time and small area, which aways follow with a long time globalized economic depression.
Obviously, governer should not support athletics such as state-sponsored Olympic teams for there short time political achievements,all the evidence confirms that spend more money in surport of art is a judicious choice for human being.
