Some movies are serious, designed to make the audience think. Other movies are designed primarily to amuse and entertain. Which type of movie do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer(03/23/07).


Movie is a substance which is invented to amuse and entertain people at first. With the advanced of the times, many new types of movies are designed for people. Some are designed to make the audience think, some are still designed to make fun of people. Personally, the type designed primarily to amuse and entertain is the better choice in terms of the previous experience.

Generally speaking, watching movie is aimed at amusing ourselves, less people go to cinema aimed at thinking. Nowadays, people are busy working and studying at weekdays, which makes them desire to relax themselves at weekends. As a convenient way and efficient relief means, watching movies are accepted and advocated by tons of people, include me. Under this circumstance, entertainment movies become the popular choice for people who enter the cinema. During the process of watching entertainment movies, people feel relaxing and happy all the time. After the movie, people really attain the purpose to relive the pressure derived from working and studying.

Entertainment movies always contain profound meanings which make people to appreciate unconsciously. For example, a famous cartoon movie called Lion King which is affected by both children and adults all over the world mainly narrates a story that how a small lion becomes a lion king. This movie not only brings people enjoyable, but also instructs people that we should brawn and brave and confront whatever we meet. Thus, many adults make their children watched this movie to make them fun and learn the characteristic from the lion Sinba.
Entertainment movies make people feel refreshing and stimulate people to innovate. There is an evident that can improve the opinion correctly. The series movies called Star Wars which were popular around the world at that time reveal people the remarkable fighting among the cosmos. The advanced arms and equipments make people astonished, and the high-tech dwellings make people yearn to. Therefore, people’s passion to innovate is evoked. Now people continue making efforts to do some innovation to achieve the dream that living in the high space and making flying instead of walking and driving.
Because of these main reasons above, I totally prefer the type of movies that designed to amuse and entertain. Through this type of movies, I gain enjoyable, I receive deep education meanings, I also obtain the passion of innovation. Undoubtedly, this type of movies is the best choice for me.
