To begin with,perseverance is the basic requirement for success, and success is one importantstandard to judge whether a person is strong. As we known, there are lots ofqualities that we have to get if we really want to do something successfully,such as talent, good tutor, better environment and so on, but what I want toemphasis is all of these factors still rely on one thing, that is our attitude.That means whether one can stick on the thing we are pursing. Take one of mybest friends, a simultaneous interpreter,Jack for example. When hewas a little boy, because of the birth defect of tough, he could not even pronounceclearly, a lot of children in primary school make laugh at him, but he did notgave up, he got up very early in the morning and insisted practice every day,after 10 years uninterruptedly practice, finally he can speak smoothly evenmuch better than normal person, at last, he became an successful interpreter.His perseverance encouraged so many people around him and proved that everyperson can be strong no matter what they original are.

Another point I want tomention is perseverance can help people overcome fear and become moreconfident. Usually, when we first face the situation that we never met before,the reaction is fear, we do not know how to fulfill or even how to start. Thatcommon for all of us, what we need now is to have faith. It recalls my firstintern experience in the company, my job is quite different from what I hadlearned in school, and people look so busy on their own things, no body came byand helped me out. I was lost at that time, what I want to do was to give up.But I tried to persuade myself to stay one week more, during this week, I triedmy best to learn new skills and kept asking question, at the end of this week,I found myself was used to this job and did pretty well. After this preciousexperience, I get my confidence back and will not afraid anymore.

All in all, as an old Chinesesaying, maybe you will not get anything through perseverance, but if you refuseto work hard, that’s for sure you will get nothing. What I want to say is maybeyou will not get something after hard work, but it is temporary, at least youhave learned how to face the same question next time, and that is the guaranteefor you to become stronger and stronger.

But people who disagree with the statements,on the other hand, indicate that some people with perseverance do not achieve success which leads confidence and determination. As far as I am concerned, perseverance is able to help people become strong in most cases,although it have no contribution on those people who persist on the wrong direction.

There is no doubt that perseverance plays a vital part in individual success,which often leads people to feel strong. Only with perseveranse can people handle all the inevitable difficulties in the way of pursuing success.Generally speaking,perseverance has a beneficial effect on broadening the possibility of seizing potential opportunities around them because opportunities prefer perseverance people.
