Early modern humans (Very modern human) didn't just chip (cheat) away stones to create their (the) tools. They treated stone with fire in a sophisticated (and sartificated) fashion according to research published Aug. 14th in the Journal Science. About 72000 years ago, our ancestors (ancestor) along coastal South (self) Africa made tools from silcrete (cellcree), a cement-like layer (there) of soil. The silcrete (self create) found at archaeological (archeological) sites was glossy (glosee) with a fire grain and reddish (found greed with undergradish) color. It didn’t match (much) stones in local outcroppings (outscropings). Researchers from the University of Cape Town (Captown) couldn't find (found) big enough pieces to learn more until a couple of years ago. Then a (the) colleague from Arizona State University remarked that a piece of silcrete (circulate) reminded him of heat-treated (that he treated the) tools in southwest. So the researcher set of a (the) fire pit and buried a (unberry the) silcrete (servie) sample at high temperature. The next day (state), the stone looked like ones used by early humans. It flaked (reflects) easily and provided the basic material for (from) complex tools (stores). Until now, heat treatment (he retreated) was thought to have (with sort to) started in Europe 25,000 years ago. This discovery pushes it back tens of thousand of (10,000) years into (until the) Africa --and suggests that the southern (sudden) African coast may have been the site of a truly Promethean (truely permisian) revolution.

Leaves Maintain a Constant Temperature
With temperature approaching 100 degrees in the Eastern Us this week. It’s amazing to believe (that the leaves) on the trees don’t simply burn into flames.Maybe one reason they don’t,is that no matter how hot or cold they gets , leaves tend to maintain themselves in the(at a) nice climate-contralled 70 degrees .That is according to a report (in the online) Issue of Journal Nature.Scientists (had always assumed) that the remperature (of a leave was the) same as the surrounding air.And why would,’t they? It’s not like trees (are warm-blooded).But university of P(pennsylvania) researchers examined it(leaves) from 39 trees species in 25 different locations, ranging from inside of Artic circle to the island (of Pueto Rico). And they found that no matter where the leaf comes from, its average temperature is same. The explanation:leaf from (tropicts have evolved mechanisms for keeping) cool say by (angling themselves) away from the sun.And trees (in polar) regions (have) come up with (the way to heat their leaves) by putting out more leaves for(per) branches ,for example, so they can essentially (huddle for) warmth. After all, what choice does a tree have (in) bad weather? It can’t (just) pack (up its) trunck and leaf.
