Two years ago, Duke University medical center researchers said that the supposedly useless appendix is actually where good （gut）bacteria safely hide at during some unpleasant intestinal conditions. Now the research team looks at the appendix over evolution history. They found that animals have had appendix for about 80 million years. And the organ has evolved separately at least twice. Once among the wired (weird) Australian marsupials and the other time in the regulartial mammal (regular old mammal linage that) we belong to. Darwin thought only few animals have appendix, and the (human version) was what was left as adjust(of a digestive) organ called the (cecum). But the new study found about 70% of rodent and primate (groups) have species with appendix. And some living animals have cecum and appendix. If Darwin had known about these species have both organs, he probably would advice reviews（revise his views of） appendix, researchers note. Aroundly(Ironically) it’s natural select that keeps the （human） appendix from shrinking away completely, because smaller ones are likely to become affected(infected), and keep your genes out of the pool.
