I fundamentally agree with the issue that"It is often necessary, even desirable, for political leaders to withholdinformation from the public", However, I would also caution that inadequatebehavior can happen if the leaders withhold too much useful information for thepublic.

In my view, no matter what the politicalleaders do their main purpose is to protect the people of his country out ofthe disasters and make the people have a peaceful life. This can be illustratedin many ways. The country government leaders establish many laws, so that there will befewer people doing damage to the community. And also this can ensure the happylife of the normal people not to be broken.

First of all, the leaders have the necessaryto withdraw the information that have bad effect on our spiritual andphysically life. We can not focus on our everyday life with too much bad thingshappening around. The leaders can make a decision to withdraw them. Forexample, the internet is well developed and bring great benefit to our life,but at the same time, the internet is filled with useless and even harmfulinformation, which can do damage to our spiritual life and sometimes can evendestroy a person physically. The government really needs to withdraw them toensure the normal life of the people.

However, there is also some informationthat the leaders really shouldn't withdraw, such kinds of information arenecessary for the people to protect them from the disasters. Because there canbe many disasters that the leaders can do nothing to prevent but to inform thepeople to avoid it, such as the nature disasters and big abrupt out of control.The earthquake happened last year in China has done great damage to thelocal people as is known to us. However, I think what the political leadershave done have lower the bad influence. Once the earthquake happened, theleaders fly there and make the decision to inform all the people in the wholenation to participate in the work.

Another example is the infectious disease,such as SARS, spread all around the earth. The government has the necessary toinform the human beings on the earth to prevent it from spread further. Wecannot think what can happen if the government withdraw this importantinformation. It is possible that our human can disappear as a result of thedisease.

In conclusion, the leaders have thenecessary to withdraw some of the bad information if the government can controlthe situation, and to inform the people of the disasters happening such asSARS.
And we can see no matter what theleaders do, their purpose is to give the normal people a more peaceful life.
