While I agree with the contention that basic human nature, such as motives, fears and spirits, have remained constantover recorded history, I find this allegation problematic in two respects. First, there are many differences between people who live at different time periods -- in terms of cultural morals, customs and values. Second, studying history carries other equally important benefits as well.

Admittedly, there are invariably ingredients of people in any period of time. For example, we cherish the same virtues in all periods, regardless of time and region, such as faith, honest, prudence. And through this realization we can benefit as a society in dealing more effectively with our social problems and as an individual in analyzing current affairs through a mature vision. For instance, history teaches us that honest is the essential part of our being as humans, as well as the necessary factors to success. By insisting his honest to the history, Sima Qian is regarded as the father of Chinese historiography, and writes out his worldwide famous book Shiji, an overview of the history of China covering more than two thousand years from the Yellow Emperor to Emperor HanWudi.

However beneficial it might be to appreciate the constant nature of human being, it is equally important to understand and appreciate the beneficial of significant differences between people of different time periods -- in terms of customs, values and culturalmores. For example, the attitude of society towards women, ethnic minorities, environmental problems have continually evolved over during the human history. Take the Olympic Games for example, comparing to the original ones, women are now able to take part in the game, accordingly realize their Olympic dreams.

Another problem is that the statement undervalues other equally important benefits of studying history. Studying history provides inspiration and teach us how to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past. Learning about the historical examples of the courage of history's great explorers, leaders and other achievers can provide motivation to face our own personal fears in the life, get through our everyday living by emboldening us and lifting our spirits. In addition,we can avoid repeating mistakes of the past societies by studying history. For instance, attempts to legislate morality always failed, as aptly illustrated inProhibition experiment in the U.S, during the 1930s.

To sum up, while history enables us tolearn that basic human nature has not changed, it also help us to unveil the differences in values and ways people think in different periods. What's more, history gives us inspiration and points out mistakes to avoid. In a word, we benefit a lot from history.

While I agree with the contention that basic human nature, such as motives, fears and spirits, have remained constant over the recorded history, I find this allegation problematic in two respects. First, there are many differences between people who live at different time periods(time和period用一个就行了吧) -- in terms of cultural morals, customs and values. Secondly, studying history carries other equally important benefits as well.

Admittedly, there are invariably ingredients of people in any period of time. For example, we cherish the same virtues in all periods, regardless of time and region, such as faith, honest,(honesty) prudence. And through this realization we can benefit as a society in dealing more effectively with our social problems and as an individual in analyzing current affairs through a mature vision. For instance, history teaches us that honesty is the essential part of our being as humans, as well as the necessary factors to success. By insisting his honesty to the history, Sima Qian is regarded as the father of Chinese historiography, and writes (wrote
)out his worldwide famous book Shiji, (ShiJi)an overview of the history of China covering more than two thousand years from the Yellow Emperor to Emperor HanWudi.

However beneficial it might be to appreciate the constant nature of human being, it is equally important to understand and appreciate the beneficial(benefit) of significant differences between people of different time periods -- in terms of customs, values and culturalmores. For example, the attitude of society towards women, ethnic minorities, environmental problems have continually evolved over during the human history. Take the Olympic Games for example, comparing to the original ones, women are now able to take part in the game, accordingly realize their Olympic dreams.(这段只论述了不同时代的不同点,但没有说理解这些不同有什么好处,论证的不完整)

Another problem is that the statement undervalues other equally important benefits of studying history. Studying history provides inspiration and teaches us how to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past. Learning about the historical examples of the courage of history's great explorers, leaders and other achievers can provide motivation to face our own personal fears in the life, get through our everyday living by emboldening us and lifting our spirits. In addition,we can avoid repeating mistakes of the past societies by studying history. To sum up, while history enables us to learn that basic human nature has not changed, it also helps us to unveil the differences in values and ways people think in different periods. What's more, history gives us inspiration and points out mistakes to avoid. In a word, we benefit a lot from history.
论证的思路比较严谨,感觉几乎和北美范文差不多,最好还是加些自己的东西吧。例子有些简单分析应该再深入一些吧。加油!

如果加入反例说尽管外表不同,但是事件的本质是相同的可以加强说服力

To sum up, while history enables us tolearn that basic human nature has not changed, it also help us to unveil the differences in values and ways people think in different periods. What's more, history gives us inspiration and points out mistakes to avoid. In a word, we benefit a lot from history.
