Dear Sir or Madam,
This is a group of students under the "Technology Alert List" or the TAL check or the Visa Mantis Check or the 221 g administrative processing, who have been waited for 50 days or more.
The Technology Alert List, is a list of fields for individuals who have a higher degree in these areas and can pose a threat to the National Security of your country. We understand the necessity of this check.  Also, we understand that each application is processed on a case-by-case basis. What applies to one case may not necessarily apply to the other.  However, Lengthy and unnecessary delays frustrate and discourage many of the best and brightest students, scholars, and scientists from studying and working in the United States. This compromises your ability to attract international scientific talent and maintain scientific and economic leadership.
It is very frustrating for us to wait for a non specified period of time with the status of our cases being "pending".  During this time we have no option but to wait for this check to come through.  Many schools have given us a deadline for our return after which they intend to terminate us because of our absence which is not our fault in the first place.  In such a case, an individual is left with no options.  Because of the study plan, many of us gave up our jobs. We are left stranded in such situations with no one taking any responsibility for the moral and emotional trauma caused us from this wait.
Please help us to this visa issue so that researchers and students can get back to their primary goal, Research and Advancement of Education and Science.  Please speed up this administrative process as much as you can since the coming August is the start of most U.S colleges and universities. Please inform us the Visa Mantis results as soon as possible so that we could make our life plan.
