Justice is a part of the complex system of laws, which is a hot topic people often talk about. We sometimes complain the injustice of law for we are punished but we are in fact innocent. Whether laws are just or unjust is a seemingly controversial issue. What we can assert is that to some extent law is just to individuals but there are times when some people cannot be protected well, especially when they are at weak position. People should obey the just laws and resist the unjust treatment in order to improve the laws construction.
Laws generally reflect the common willing of the public and show their just property in front of us. A law is voted by our represents, which can stand for the means of different groups. When we loss something for our carelessness, the private law says that the thing we loss always belongs to us though we may fail to find it. When we are hurt by a traffic accident, the traffic law says that the wrongdoer should be responsible for the event and pay all our medical fee and possession lost. It seems laws can protect us from being harmed by others. In these senses, laws are indeed just.
Laws become quite unreasonable, seeming unjust, when some people try to protect their tremendous benefits. There are many instances. Recently I learned from the TV news that a young man hit a student died while he was driving his running car at high speed at late night. The strange things is that the driver was not been seriously punished but was set free for he paid the victim's family a million. It is an unacceptable fact for it does not show the justice of law and even gives the public an impression that money can replace the mistake or consequence brought by wrongdoer. However, the public showed their angry on the internet and demanded the driver should be sent to prison as a punishment. No matter what is the final result of this event, justice has been distorted at least one time.
When talking about whether people should obey laws, the answer is that everyone should obey laws. Obeying laws can make sure we are safe on the road when the red lights turn on. We run into rapture to hear the news that a gangster has been caught by police and been sent to prison by law, for we are free from afraid that our children may be killed by this gangster. Justice has been done, we may say at this situation. We can consider this issue on the opposite side. Others will accuse us when we break the laws and be gland to hear the news we are caught and punished by law. Hence, obeying law is beneficial not only for ourselves but for others. Otherwise, it is also our duty to resist the unjust behavior which interrupts the justice of law. Only doing so can we make sure the carrying out of justice.
Therefore, based on what are mentioned above, we can realize that laws generally show us the just side and sometimes become quite unjust induced by the strong force of some people. In the light of this statement, it is our responsibility to obey laws but we are also entitled to have the right to disobey laws when we are treated unjustly.
