Money spent on research is almost always a good investment,even when the results that research are controversial.
还有十几天考试了，实在是没头绪，麻烦大家看看。感激不尽，痛哭涕零~~~~~~
1.提纲的第二段，也就是正文的第三段的思想会不会有问题啊
2.开头结尾总是感觉没话说，像我这篇文章开头结尾应该再补充什么呀
3.用蓝笔标出的地方是我举了三个例子，都是用The research开头的感觉不太好，怎样能换一种方法呢？
  还有，例子之间怎样连贯呢？
4.全文主要问题是什么呢




提纲
1.确实是好投资：从精神方面来说，满足人们的求知欲望，帮助人们了解自己和未知世界;
从物质方面来说，为现有问题寻求答案，寻求更大的发展空间.
2.可能有人认为有些research的结果是有争议的，这些不应该被投资。但是，我认为research本身是中性的，没有对错之分。例如克隆本来是研究植物无性繁殖来提高产量的，但是现在被用到了不恰当的地方。被限制的应该是research的应用而不是其本身。
3.虽然说是a good investment，但不能说是a better investment. 因为可能有一些其他问题急需解决,这时应权衡一下那个问题更需要被投资。


Is money spent on research almost always amount to a good investment? I should admit that it is true though there exists something to be noted.
To begin with, it is really very beneficial to invest in research no matter for mental advancement or material advancement. With respect to the former, research springs from the inborn curiosity and gets people a better understanding of the unknown world. With respect to the latter, research could bring various and scientific answers to the problems we seek to solve in our everyday life and look for wider development space for human beings. Various examples can be cited to foster it. The research on the steam engine brought the Industrial Revolution and inaugurated a new era, making the economy advance at an unprecedented speed. The research on the economic operation conveys to us the inherent law of economy, contributing to easing the current economic crisis and preventing the next. The research on the universe gives us a better understanding of the outer world, which may even bring another “earth” to us.
Some people may say that results of some researches are controversial, and therefore money shouldn’t be invest in them. But think it’s hasty to conclude that a research it self is right or wrong. In fact, all the researches are neutral and the difference only lies in the way they are used. There is a general debate today over whether the research of clone is necessary or not, because the clone of human beings may threaten to end human life on the earth. However, it must be noted that the primary purpose of the research on clone is to increase production by asexual propagation and provide an effectual treatment for diseases. Unfortunately, it is now applied to animals and even human beings, thereby posing a great threat to the safety of modern society. Therefore, restrictions should be made to the application of research results instead of researches themselves.
Although it is a good investment to spend money on research, we can’t say that it is a better investment than others. There may be some other areas which are also in great need of money, such as the problem of hunger, medical services, education, and so on. Therefore we should weigh the importance and urgency of research with that of other needs , seeing to it that money is spend where it can be put into best use.
In sum, research is exerting a far-reaching effect on human beings and deserves the money spent on it, though sometimes other needs should take precedence over it because of their urgency. We should make sure that money is given full play to it’s ability.
