The speaker asserts that in order to achieve success the leader of any profession should step down after five years, for new relationship can prompt  development. I find this idea to be too extreme. While new leadership seems to be beneficial for solving the traditional problems which impede improvement, the enterprise should decide the term of office of their senior managers according to their typical situations.

I concede that without modern strategy from newly elected leader, it seems to be impossible for an enterprise to avoid involving into a helpless condition in the trend of rapidly changing imformation. It is unfortunate but true, that the former leader can hardly adapt himself to totally different situations, which frequenctly appear in current world, as quickly as the newer one, since it is men's inherent nature to hold on his or her traditional idea. Thus, leadership turnover becomes unavoidable. As a typical example, Meg Whitman, the former CEO of eBay, an American Internet company that manage a famous online auction and shopping websit, step down in 2008 after working there for ten years. She said at her farewell ceremony (and I paraphase) : "Though eBay get access to huge profit during her tenure, a Internet company should always be infused into fresh idea from different leaders."  That is to say, novel thought from new leader is surely a good medicine .

However, this conclusion should not be used without limits, as some enterprises have their typical characteristics that cannot be mimiced by others. Justice of Federal Supreme Court of America and the tenured professor are two supportive examples. Accouding to the law, the Justice of Supreme Court in America could serve for the remainder of their lives. Without warring about unenployment, the Justices could focus on the complex and focused cases and the explaination of the law with their hearts and souls. This system can avoid the pressure from different governments and parties and keep the justice of the law.  As another example, the tenured professor in college is also a life-long job. This arrangement can keep of politics and financial benefits away from academic on one hand and, on the other hand, can maintain the continuity of experiements. The two examples illustrate that term of office should depend on the nature of job.

In addition, during special time, the regular change of the leadership may suspend. If the situation were urgent and might threaten the sicurity of process, personnel change may become even worse. Frankin D. Roosevelt, the president of America during the economic cresis and world war, was on the position for four terms longer than regular two. It is difficult to imagine what the result would be if a new leader come out with a totally different plan at the critical period of the war.

To sum up, changing leadership regularly is helpful for an enterprise for it can bring new strength, but five years shound not become a limit. Necessarily through detailed plan which accoud with the current situation and the nature of the profession can they achieve the final success.

Issue70

The speaker asserts that in order to achieve success the leader of any profession should step down after five years, for new relationship can prompt development. I find this idea to be too extreme(find sth to be 没查到这个句型). While new leadership seems to be beneficial for solving the traditional problems which impede improvement, the enterprise should decide(determine) the term of office of their senior managers according to their typical situations.
I concede that without modern strategy from newly elected leader, it seems to be impossible for an enterprise to avoid involving into a helpless condition(helpless感觉有点过,考虑一下embarrassing) in the trend of rapidly changing information. It is unfortunate but true, that the former leader can hardly adapt himself to totally different situations, which frequently appear in current world, as quickly as the newer one,(看不懂L) since it is men's inherent nature to hold on his or her traditional idea. Thus, leadership turnover becomes unavoidable(这一点很好,“权力的交替是客观原因”,值得学习). As a typical example, Meg Whitman, the former CEO of eBay, an American Internet company that manage a famous online auction and shopping website, stepped down in 2008 after working there for ten years. She said at her farewell ceremony (and I paraphase) : "Though eBay get access to huge profit during her tenure, a Internet company should always be infused into fresh idea from different leaders."  That is to say, novel thought from new leader is surely a good medicine(可以试试cure) .
队长的论证方法很值得学习啊:先提出来观点,稍微解释一下,然后来个例子正面加以证明,如果觉得字数还不够还可以来个反面例子说明一下呢~~值得学习!
However, this conclusion should not be used without limits(limitations), as some enterprises have their typical characteristics that cannot be mimicked(mimick一般是为了逗乐而模仿,考虑imitate) by others. Justice of Federal Supreme Court of America and the tenured professor are two supportive examples. According to the law, the Justice of Supreme Court in America could serve for the remainder of their lives. Without worrying about unemployment, the Justices could focus on the complex and focused cases and the explanation of the law with their hearts and souls. This system can avoid the pressure from different governments and parties and keep the justice of the law.  As for another example, the tenured professor in college is also a life-long lasted job. This arrangement can keep of politics and financial benefits away from academic on one hand and, on the other hand, can maintain the continuity of experiments. The two examples illustrate that term of office should depend on the nature of job.(觉得可以把两个例子精炼一下,当作一回事来写,因为都是讲的终身制聘用问题可以减少他们被distracted.

In addition, during special time, the regular change of the leadership may be suspended. If the situation were urgent and might threaten the security of process(不懂), personnel change may become even worse. Franklin D. Roosevelt, the president of America during the period of the economic crisis and world war, was on the position for four terms longer than(是4届还是6届??) regular two. It is difficult to imagine what the result would be if a new leader come out with a totally different plan at the critical period of the war.  (罗斯福新政的例子可以再深入一点,多谈一点连任和experienced leader的好处,你觉得呢?)

To sum up, changing leadership regularly is helpful for an enterprise for it can bring new strength, but five years should not become a limit. Necessarily through detailed plan which accord with the current situation and the nature of the profession can they achieve the final success.
