Merely based on the dubious assumption and unclear evidence, the author concluded that the honor code system in Groveton College was far more successful and all the universities and colleges should adopt it. To support this conclusion, the author made a comparison with the old system and pointed out the number of cases in cheating had dropped notably. In addition, a survey conducted by the Groveton honor council had been presented. At first glance, this argument seems somewhat convincing, but from the logical perspective, it omits several flaws.
From a threshold perspective, the author falsely assumed the students in Groveton College was capable to avoid cheating after a promise, and detecting cheating as their faculty monitors. It is highly incidental for a student to cheat in the examination even after a simple promise if he or she had determined to cheat. However, I have to doubt that whether students will notify a member if they suspect others, because that need highly discipline
consciousness in them. If students in this college do not have this kind of quality, the system of makes an agreement and report to teachers will not be effective.
Even assuming that under this honor codes students will do exactly what the teachers told them to do, the argument also falsely assumed that the conditions possibly affecting the reported incidence of cheating during five years remained unchanged. What’s more, the numbers given to reveal the cases of cheating was unsupportive. There are likely all kinds of differences between five years ago and nowadays. For example, changing in faculty members will make the degree of difficulty in the test paper shifted, the students may have worked harder than before, or even the schools management was perfected will make a decrease in cheating rate. The survey that the author cited might be unreliable. There is no evidence to show whether it is randomly across the entire spectrum. In sum, the honor codes seemed not as effective as the argument mentioned.
Even assuming the honor codes system was highly effective to control the cheating rate in Groveton College, the authors recommendation that other colleges follow Grovetons example depends on that cheating forms, reasons and consequences in all the universities and colleges are similar. However, the author neglected the possibilities, such as qualities of students, managements of schools and the strictness in faculty
members might be different varies from school to school. Without counting for such differences among all the universities and colleges, the author cannot prove that the honor codes will reap the similar benefits from the proposed method.
To sum up, this argument fails to substantiate the claim that the honor codes was effective towards cheating and it is suitable to other schools because the evidence cited in the analysis did not lend strong support to what the author maintains. To make the argument more convincing, the author would have to provide more detailed information with regard to the conditions affecting cheating, and demonstrate more messages about other universities and colleges, then it would be more through and logically acceptable.

常理推之
Even assuming that under this honor codes students will do exactly what the teachers told them to do, the argument also falsely assumed that the conditions possibly affecting the reported incidence of cheating during five years remained unchanged. 说了两点,列举他因,建议说教师更替这里再详细说明一下,质疑调查说的好简短,再说两句

Even assuming the honor codes system was highly effective to control the cheating rate in Groveton College, the authors recommendation that other colleges follow Grovetons example depends on that cheating forms, reasons and consequences in all the universities and colleges are similar. However, the author neglected the possibilities, such as qualities of students, managements of schools and the strictness in faculty
members might be different (或者用be different,或者用varies) varies from school to school. Without counting for such differences among all the universities and colleges, the author cannot prove that the honor codes will reap the similar benefits(学到了)from the proposed method.

To sum up, this argument fails to substantiate the claim that the honor codes was effective towards cheating and it is suitable to other schools(可删,claim是啥早已心知肚明) because the evidence cited in the analysis did not lend strong support to what the author maintains. To make the argument more convincing, the author would have to provide more detailed information with regard to the conditions affecting cheating, and demonstrate(不妥,provide或什么) more messages about other universities and colleges, then it would be more through and logically acceptable.

总评,基本都论述到了,但攻击不够深入。
中规中矩,模板化感严重,我也是呀,要改滴!
