不管是什么流感,总之杯具了。
前夜高烧不退,腋温突破39直逼40,人却还在蜷缩在被窝中瑟瑟发抖。
红宝书是拿不起了,周末的新东方走读班也泡汤了。
但也可以打着拯救生命的旗号名正言顺地消磨三天的时光,愤懑。
今日病情好转,下食堂里吃了两份老汤羊肉泡馍(一份是带蟑螂的,另一份没有前者营养)补充体力,顿觉牛气冲天,看来恢复之期不远矣。

AYN推荐的小组我也是今天才见着,看来已经落后很多了。
这些天得加班加点地补上落下的东西了。
继续奋斗!

1.还在发烧
2.3000字的论文。
3.温度计碎裂,水银居然没出来。

看完楼上大侠的关心贴,眼泪哗啦啦啦啦的~~谢谢谢谢~~谢谢关心!
今天感觉好多了,唯独嗜睡感还挺严重,估计是药物作用。
Argu和Issue还得推推,时间和精力稍显不足,要命的是Issue还不知道怎么写。
做下作业笔记吧:
Coping with Writing anxiety的各种方案总结后就是做放松运动,排除脑中杂念以及集中精神。个人认为方法还是因人而异的好:大家都考了这么多年的试了,想必对付紧张焦虑还是有一套的。至于Writer’s block就是大问题了。本人对此颇为头疼,经常是脑子和手不同步。看了这章的Fundamental Course of Writtng后还是有些感触的,记下些典型的Symptom和对自己有用的cures以供日后参考。

Symptom
You have attempted to begin a paper without doing any preliminary work such as brainstorming or outlining...
Possible Cures
•Write down all the primary ideas you'd like to express and then fill in each with the smaller ideas that make up each primary idea. This can easily be converted into an outline(向来不喜欢写大纲,看来得改改了)

Symptom
You're self-conscious about your writing, you may have trouble getting started. So, if you're preoccupied with the idea that you have to write about a subject and feel you probably won't express yourself well...(严重困扰我的问题)
Possible Cures
•Assure yourself that the first draft doesn't have to be a work of genius, it is something to work with. (有点难)
•Force yourself to write down something, however poorly worded, that approximates your thought (you can revise this later) and go on with the next idea. (试试这个)

awintro也准备开始了,不能再拖了。

哇,楼上有个大姐姐关心我,真感动诶~~

今天精力全被课程夺去了,留给G的时间很少了。所以:
1.Review 3 Lists.
2.看了一部分awintro.
3.仙人掌被我养死了~~
杯具,预计明天也没有时间。
只能争取把Argu的草稿写了,再把awintro读完。

Fundamental Course of Writing看了两讲(第六讲thesis statement是不是坏了?打开看不到文字)。
第一讲是start to write,看着看着感觉回到了高考的议论文培训阶段。只不过语言换成了英语,人也就瞬间呆若木鸡了。还是斑竹说得好:思维能力的扩展是要语言功底来支持的。
第二讲Writing With Computers没怎么看了,因为这些每周都得做----Assignments,Lab Reports都得靠这个。

时间不早,趁着熄灯断网前赶紧背单词去......
最后再加一句,ETS老流氓。

好久没贴新日志了,主要是近期功课来势迅猛:如滔滔江水一发不可收拾。
刚赶完四篇数据库的Lab Report,还剩Computer Network的Assignment和Lab Report。
明早还得六点起跑海淀区上新东方。哎~~
先贴上awintro的翻译(只挑选了awintro中的重点,属于选择性翻译)

呃,本来准备看Thesis的,打开doc一看太多了。
还是改天吧,现在做Assignment去,不然周一交不了差。
另外,看完awintro觉得新东方也很流氓。写作的范文评分标准解析就是从awintro上原封不动的拿过去的。
这果然是一场流氓之间见招拆招的较量。


Overview of the Analytical Writing Section


The analytical writing section is a new section of the GRE General Test introduced beginning in October 2002 that tests your critical thinking and analytical writing skills. It assesses your ability to articulate and support complex ideas, analyze an argument, and sustain a focused and coherent discussion. It does not assess specific content knowledge. (它评估你清晰地表达和支持复杂观点,分析一个论点以及维持一个集中连贯的论述的能力,而不考量涉及具体内容的知识)






How the Analytical Writing Section is Scored


Your essay responses on the analytical writing section will be reviewed by ETS essay-similarity-detection software and by experienced essay readers during the scoring process. In light of the high value placed on independent intellectual activity within United States graduate schools and universities, ETS reserves the right to cancel test scores of any test taker when there is substantial evidence that an essay response includes, but is not limited to, any of the following:


text that is substantially similar to that found in one or more other GRE essay responses;


(文章大体上其它一篇或多篇GRE文章相似)


quoting or paraphrasing, without attribution, language or ideas that appear in published or unpublished sources;

这四点归纳都一起就是两个单词:OriginalCopyright. 这更说明一个问题:模板得套自己写的。








Understanding the Issue Task


The "Present Your Perspective on an Issue" task assesses your ability to think critically about a topic of general interest and to clearly express your thoughts about it in writing.


(XXXX衡量你批判性地思考一个公众感兴趣的话题以及在写作中清晰的表达你的想法的能力)


Your task is to present a compelling case for your own position on the issue.

Preparing for the Issue Task


Remember that this is a task in critical thinking and persuasive writing. Therefore, you might find it


helpful to explore the complexity of a claim in one of the topics by asking yourself the following questions:


What, precisely, is the central issue?

Do I agree with all or with any part of the claim? Why or why not?

Does the claim make certain assumptions? If so, are they reasonable?

Once you have decided on a position to defend, consider the perspective of others who might not agree


with your position. Ask yourself:

Understanding the Argument Task


The "Analyze an Argument" task assesses your ability to understand, analyze, and evaluate arguments and to clearly convey your analysis in writing.


(XXXX衡量你理解,分析,评价论点以及在写作中清楚地表达你的分析的能力)


Your task is to discuss the logical soundness of the author's case by critically examining the line


of reasoning and the use of evidence.


(你的任务是通过批判性地考查作者的推理思路和用例来讨论作者观点是否具有逻辑性)




An important part of performing well on the Argument task is remembering what you are not being asked to do. You are not being asked to discuss whether the statements in the argument are true or accurate;(你没有被要求去讨论argument中的陈述是否正确或准确) instead, you are being asked whether conclusions and inferences are validly drawn from the statements.(你应该要去讨论作者的陈述能否正确地得出作者的结论和论断)You are not being asked to agree or disagree with the position stated; (你没有被要求同意或不同意文中的立场)instead, you are being asked to comment on the thinking that underlies the position stated.(你应该去评论构成作者立场的基本思想) You are not being asked to express your own views on the subject being discussed (as you were in the Issue task);(你没有被要求表述你对被讨论主题的观点的看法) instead, you are being asked to evaluate the logical soundness of an argument of another writer (你应该去评价作者论断的逻辑性)and, in doing so, to demonstrate the critical thinking, perceptive reading, and analytical writing skills that university faculty consider important for success in graduate school.





这个有必要和Issue区分开来。




Preparing for the Argument Task


An excellent way to prepare for the "Analyze an Argument" task is to practice writing on some of the


published Argument topics. There is no one way to practice that is best for everyone. Some prefer to start practicing without adhering to the 30-minute time limit. If you follow this approach, take all the time you need to analyze the argument. No matter which approach you take, you should


carefully read the argument—you might want to read it over more than once

identify as many of its claims, conclusions, and underlying assumptions as possible

think of as many alternative explanations and counterexamples as you can

原来,双黄连口服液==夜里浑身发热出虚汗。
这直接导致了昨晚的3小时catnap。

今早六点钟爬起来去新东方时人都是呆滞的,上课时进化到了木鸡形态。
下午耗在了书店。
晚上8点回来干了杯咖啡开始做第六次作业,现在还没搞定,而且咖啡好像不顶用了(!?...)。
上回的阅读因发烧没去,估计明天是听天书。
