Some students like classes where teachers lecture (do all of the talking) in class. Other students prefer classes where the students do some of the talking. Which type of class do you prefer? Give specific reasons and details to support your choice.

Classes in which the students do part of the taking is much more effective than that teachers do all of  the talking since the goal of education is to help students reach their best ability, in both intellectual and emotional aspects.

Primarily, such kind of classes consist of students' talking is of great value in strengthen the communication between students and teachers, which is crucial in the course of education. Common sense tells us the efficient method to master new knowledge is listening, asking questions, solving problems, and keeping it in mind firmly. An example about the subject of mathematics can serve to illustrate my point. In my junior high school, the mathematics gave us lectures throughout the whole class and it was hard for us to concentrate what he taught all the time, so the final test was always disappointing. While my mathematics teachers in high school adopted distinct ways in her class, which was sparing some time for us to discuss, question, and draw final conclusion. This type of class was prefered by us and received a noticeable effect. Therefore, if teachers offer students the opportunity to put forward their questions in particular subjects, and aid them to find the answers, each class will reach its adequate and efficient function.

Also, to some degree, students make significant progresses by the way of learning from their classmate. Sometimes, it is hard to comprehend or address a problem from one's own perspective, while we might find the helpful ideas or more reasonable methods from others' speech in class. What's more, discussing with classmates in class is of great value in learning knowledge and developing the ability of solving complicated difficulties.

In addition, the function of better off student's eloquence when they are encouraged to make speeches in class should not be ignored. Persuasive, powerful and confident expression in public takes a vital role in our lives, such as interviews after graduation from school, reports each week in company, and to persuade superior to adopt our plans.
