I agree with the speaker that the video camera provides an accurate and convincing record of contemporary life. With its different way of recording, our life has become more vivid. However, it is hasty to say that video camera is more important than written records because the latter one is also of great significance.

On the one hand, the video camera, one of the greatest inventions of the advanced digital technology, plays a significant role in documentation. First, it provides people with the information of an objective description. Almost all the people, no matter how honest they are, will add subjective opinions in recounting an event. Yet the video revives the scene of the time it happened without any individual sensation and leaves the whole thought to the people themselves. Secondly, the narrative of the video is visual and interesting. Unlike the written form with only large amount of words on pieces of paper, the video documentation is full of pictures and sounds which make it very appealing. And as the rapid development of the movie technology, the video has already been impelled to be a fad of the world culture. The last virtue of this method is that it is beneficial to our environment to some extent. Without using paper to record, it saves our forest a lot.

Although the video is of such great significance, on the other hand, the written records are irreplaceable. First of all, they express the deep thought of people, which explains why many people like keeping diaries. While, on the contrary, the video only reflects the superficial aspects of people’s emotion, no matter how lively pictures it present. On the second hand, there are still many things that cannot be recorded by the video such as how long the Great Wall is, how many people took part in a history event, and so on. At such time, people must take their pen and write them on the paper so that they can be put in a time capsule. Thirdly, if people lose interest and patience in the words and merely rely on the direct expression of the video, they will definitely become unwilling to think profoundly. Under such circumstance, people’s ability of creative thinking will be impeded, which will lead to the stagnant of the whole world. Moreover, so far, most of the thought and culture of human being are kept in the written records and it is impossible to revive the history by the video. So the inheritance and the development of the world culture are still rely on the written records to a great extent.

So, both of these two methods have their indispensable advantages that one cannot take the place of another. Meanwhile, they also have serious defects respectively. Nowadays, these two means are combined to supplement each other and in many records, both video documentation and written forms are used together. The attractive pictures accompanied with the insightful essays make the record so integrated and excellent that it seems as if people are led to the scene and dig themselves for the truth and thoughtful ideas.

In conclusion, the video camera provides people with an innovative approach of recording the contemporary life. Its objective and interesting description and its contribution to the environment make it more and more important in the present age. Nevertheless, the written forms also play essential roles in the deep level of the records. So, both of the two methods are significant and the combination of them will be the better way in keeping excellent records.

语言上没有什么大的问题了，我只是谈谈我对这个题目的看法。题中的documentation应该是指较为正式的记录，比如附录啊，前言啊，各种文件啊，娱乐性质的东西算不算documentation我不持肯定态度。
关于这个题目中有has become一句，表明这是一个事实题。举个例子说吧，这样一段话：“adugdu同学通过多年努力现在已经很帅，他已经比avex 更加帅了。”这里是提出一种事实：就是adugdu比avex 更帅。那写文章的时候你就应该就这个事实提出观点：同意这个事实，或者反对这个事实。比如先写adugdu是很帅，并举例他交了个女朋友，但是他从来没有超过avex，为什么什么超过：方面1。他只交过一个，而avex交过三个。方面2。avex的皮肤白皙程度，adugdu从来没有达到等等。最后结论adugdu同志没有avex帅，在一定程度上否定了题目的论点。
但是如何写成本文的，adugdu 很帅，avex也很帅，两人各自有缺点，最后两人在一起组成美男二人组最好，看似跟题目很近，但其实没有对题目提出的事实表示自己的观点。

I agree with the speaker's assertion insofar as the objectivity of the facts, yet in such a variable and colorful world, we need for believes and share ideas with other people, from this point of view, the written records render their non-overlooked advantages.

Admittedly, the video camera records the excellent moments for our life and we enjoy them for all of our life. Such as the moment of rockets successfully launched; the seconds that our athletes gained the gold medals; and also the scene of we get married with the one we love and so forth. Indeed, those are the moment, which we want to put into the time capsule in purpose of catching and preserving the treasure seconds for our rest of life. And more important thing is, no matter how detailed written records can not reappear for such scene vividly. Therefore, we can not deny how great the new technique is.

Moreover, the video camera is well known for its objectivity, which brings us the real feeling as if we were first-hand-experience. Maybe in the news world, it becomes even more significant. Because today's world is filled with too much scandals（s去掉） and headlines of futile information, which would be correctly or not, we hardly distinguish which to believe or which not to. The only referee is our eyes, we need to censure the fact ourselves and from our own position to judge them. Yet, written documentation may not achieve such intention in that for more or less it contents the author's subjectivities. Unfortunately, if the author has some inclinations, then the readers will be naturally misleading. For a telling example, in the early period of the SARS, some regions' local newspapers according to the leader's intention to hide the truth, public overstated the detail, then causing the tragedy that many people lost their life just because they can not be focused on and healed in time. We need to learn the lecture from this problem, and which again proves the advantage of the contemporary technology.

  However, for the past to today, human never proceed without the help of the book, we study it and even more we depend on it, which is the best teacher in the world. Actually, everybody has mental requirements and need to feed them, which is why there is a kind of career called writer in the world. Writer can write the thoughts and preference shared by many people but which we can not express in an explicit way. It is true that very often when we read an essay, we find surprisingly same feeling to the author and will be happy for the understanding we find out from others. I think this is the psychological effect of the written documentation to our life, which is pretty distinctive from lens regarding the grandness of the nature, such as hurricanes, volcanic eruptions and other objective phenomena, thus in some sense, we really require those subjective ideas and believes to relax the social pressures and to guide our life.

To sum up, in term of objectivity, the video camera can be called the great invention for our times; also from other purpose, it records the moment which we desire to recollect in all of our life. Yet we also should justly assess the effect of the written forms to our human civilization, which is indispensable too.
