I have a good news for you. Our College has concluded its initial review of all new graduate applications and you have been recommended to admit into our Ph.D. program in Fall 2007. This offer is conditional which is subject to a formal check by the Graduate School of Penn State. If no problem (most don’t have any problem), you will receive a formal admission and assistantship offer some time in late February or early March.

Your assistantship(either teaching or research) will include tuition and stipend (valued at more than$35,000 each year). As part of the requirements, you will work for about 20 hours/per week
under a faculty supervision. IST has many distinguished faculty members specialized in your interest areas such as data mining, medical informatics, software engineering and many others. You will find IST/Penn State is a wonderful place for your study.

还不是正式的,还要经Graduate Office审核,不知美金35000在PSU算OK吗?
