TOPIC: ISSUE36 - "The greatness of individuals can be decided only by those who live after them, not by their contemporaries."
WORDS: 531          TIME: 00:90:00

The speaker is in favor of the view that the value of great people can be judged only by those who live after them. In my point of view, the speaker unfairly generalizes that the final judgment should depend on a case-by-case basis. Seve r al apt illustration of this point involves th e area of science, art, business as well as sports.
Firstly, when it comes to the area of science, for a host of great scien t i s ts' mind exceeded their contemporaries' understanding and tolerance that their new theories are hardly accepted by the cognition of their contemporaries. Maybe the scientific theories would be denied in the future. For instance, the theory of geocentric ordering of plants was accepted by people for thousands of years, and Copernicus' revolution of heliocentric theory pulled down this el der theory. Einstein's theory of relativity, in his period of time, was considered as puzzle, and even now it is inadequate validated. The important of many scientific achievements should wait years, even centuries, to be validated by scientists after the extensive accumulation of data and proof. In short, the greatness of scientists must be tested over time before it can be confirmed that could not be decided by their contemporaries.
Secondly, when it comes to the area of business and sports, in most case, their achievement is recognizable immediately. In the area of bu s iness, Bill Gate, the founder of Microsoft Company, sparked the development of sof t industry of Uni ted States that the States got back the leader of economic and technology of the world. S o h e is billionaire and become s the role model of our contemporary concept of success. While in the area of sports, Michael Jordan, 6 times NBA champions in his sports career, is consider ed a s one of the greatest basketball players and no one can deny it . We appreciate these magnetic one as great people because their achievement are accepted by the cognition of people. So their greatness was recognized not only by their contemporaries but also by their offspring.
Finally , when it comes to the area of art , in some cases, great achievement is recognizable immediately while in other cases it is not. In one side, arts bring pleasure, beauty as well as reflect humanity into mind that people can straightforward to understand. For instance, Beethoven’s music inspired his contemporaries’ acceptance of himself, which Paganini easily won audiences through his extraordinary violin skills and appealing image. However, in other side, there are a series of factors exert an influence on judgment of arts, such as religious force, culture background and personal education. Amounts of artists were adored after they died. A strike example aptly illustration of this point involves Van Gough. Van Gogh, a great Dutch postimpressionism painter in nineteenth century, at his time, realism played a determinative role in art and it is hard for people at that time to accept the conception of postimpressionism. Then after he died, his greatness was accepted by offspring.
To sum up, the speaker fails to consider great people, especially in aspect of bu s i n ess and sports. However, in other achievements, especially scientific ones, no one can deny the opinions of offspring are more sound and rational.

In my point of view, the speaker unfairly generalizes that the final judgment should depend on a case-by-case basis. Seve r al apt illustration of this point involves th e areas of science, art, business as well as sports.
Firstly, when it comes to the area of science, for a host of great scien t i s ts' mind exceeded their contemporaries' understanding and tolerance that their new theories are hardly accepted by the cognition of their contemporaries(句子有问题,that去掉,用,分开). Maybe the scientific theories would be denied in the future(这句出现的意思是什么?future 都denied的话那后人评价就没有意义了). For instance, the theory of geocentric ordering of plants was accepted by people for thousands of years, and Copernicus' revolution of heliocentric theory pulled down this el der theory(没有说明是后人才接受而当时不接受). Einstein's theory of relativity, in his period of time, was considered as puzzle, and even now it is inadequate validated(相对论在他还活着的时候就被接受了,所以例子不是很恰当). The important(importance) of many scientific achievements should wait years, even centuries, to be validated by scientists after the extensive accumulation of data and proof. In short, the greatness of scientists must be tested over time before it can be confirmed that could not be decided by their contemporaries(句子有错误).
Secondly, when it comes to the areas of business and sports, in most case, their achievement is recognizable immediately. In the area of bu s iness, Bill Gate, the founder of Microsoft Company, sparked the development of sof t industry of Uni ted States that the States got back the leader of economic and technology of the world(that是什么从句?). S o h e is billionaire and become s the role model of our contemporary concept of success(表达很绕口). While in the area of sports, Michael Jordan, 6 times NBA champions(Jordan只有一个用单数) in his sports career, is consider ed a s one of the greatest basketball players and no one can deny it . We appreciate these magnetic ones as great people because their achievement are accepted by the cognition of people. So their greatness was recognized not only by their contemporaries but also by their offspring(怎么得到的这个结论?前面只提到了当代没有offspring阿).
Finally , when it comes to the area of art , in some cases, great achievement is recognizable immediately while in other cases it is not. In(On) one side, arts bring pleasure, beauty as well as reflect humanity into mind that people can straightforward to understand. Then after he died, his greatness was accepted by offspring.(这句和前面有关系吗?Then就可以承接马?)
To sum up, the speaker fails to consider great people, especially in aspect of bu s i n ess and sports. However(感觉however用的不好,因为however后面是强调的部分,不太符合通篇的意思), in other achievements, especially scientific ones, no one can deny the opinions of offspring are more sound and rational.

主要修改了一下细节部分,因为主体应该是照搬的,所以没有什么值得评价的,小心被判雷同,感觉很多句子 都是照搬的

Finally, sorry for my late!
